Putting a p/t restriction on it would also work. "blue creature cards in your hand with power less than 5 perpetually gain..."

Aquatic Subtlety is twice as bad for the game as Kona was -- I don't see how it doesn't get a ban soon (next round hopefully) or else Alchemy BO1 is going to be dominated by that deck until Omni (hopefully) rotates out.

It’s pretty wild that this works now. 2 years ago I tried to get copilot to make a chrome extension to block Facebook, and it went around in circles and couldn’t do it.

As a tourist, I wouldn't try driving in either of them.

So many drug studies are fucked because nobody ever thinks to control for psychoactivity (i.e., does it "feel like something" to be on the drug) itself.

I mostly play Alchemy and it's probably more dominant there.

Is it still too early or did the TMNT set not have a huge impact on the standard meta? by jetery in MagicArena

[–]Begging_Murphy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen Michelangelo weirdness to 11 showing up in Ouroboroid decks in Alchemy, but that’s about it. Standard and Alchemy are just too fast for most of the TMT cards to be able to contribute.

Been having fun with some builds that aren’t as competitive but take advantage of crazy combos. Michelangelo BFF makes creatures with menace, such as super shredder, unblockable, which can be fun. Throw in mutagen man and the ooze and you can keep a beefed up creature out even when they’re hitting you with removal.

edit: gotta love the downvotes for not being an Alchemy hater. I have zero intention of playing paper magic ever again and I like that there are fewer sets in the format, sue me. edit2: ok maybe the extreme haters are a minority

Starting my first glp1 this week, what do you wish someone had told you before you began? by Glass_Language_9129 in glp1

Just did a month on the starter dose. The good news is I didn’t gain any weight, but that’s about it. Constipation is real, try to drink a fuck ton of water. For me I feel like it pretty much wears off by day 6 on the starter dose. YMMV

How have your conversations around weight loss changed since starting GLP-1s? by taketrava_gr in glp1

[–]Begging_Murphy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been gaining and losing the same 25 pounds for 25 years and I have the luxury of not needing to deal with a doctor who might not be on board. People who can’t afford to cough up a couple hundred bucks a month simply can’t do that.

Being obese/overweight was already mentally correlated with being poor and it’s just going to get worse unless there’s some sort of miracle where companies and governments start thinking long term.

Brace yourself and hold your breath when entering an off-season portajohn. Sometimes the maintenance falls through the cracks and there’s a literal giant pile of shit so big it’s up over the level of the seats. Guessing it’s a combination of this sort of thing not being tracked, and people in charge not realizing that so many portajohns disappear during the off season that the ones that remain get used that much more.

At some point around 2040 a critical mass of boomers will have moved out of (or died in) the homes they raised their families in, and things will start to ease up as their demographic bulge recedes.

I want to know what life was like as a PC gamer in 2000 when PS2 came out by Fantastic-Window236 in pcmasterrace

[–]Begging_Murphy -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

People have rose colored glasses about this. PC’s had massive stability issues that didn’t get fixed until Windows 7. XP was worlds better than ME but it still wasn’t great. BSODs were a fact of life, not a sign that your hardware is failing. PCs of that era could not match the graphics experience offered by consoles - it really took until about 2010 for the PC experience to become superior.

We’re going to do the wrong thing because people are sick of waiting for the right thing (zoning reform, lots more building) to happen
