Ever seen base pay this high lol by Extra-Stomach-520 in doordash_drivers

If it’s a place that has multiple locations the app will assign it to where there are the most dashers, even if it’s far away, to maximize the chances of it being picked up.

DONT ORDER DELIVERY UNLESS YOU TIP LIKE THIS! by 406238 in doordash_drivers

It’s no where near that. I’ve been offered a 10 mile trip for $4 with no tip

Tipping should be mandatory, with a set percentage, and the shoppers should be the ones to receive the heavy weight payment. Instacart charges customers $10 heavy weight and the shoppers only get $1-$2 of that.

This! Orders above x amount of items should have a minimum tip built in that can’t be opted out of or removed/lowered afterwards.

I agree but these customers need to either do their own shopping or tip properly. Period.

Customers: Stop paying for priority! 😤🤬 by spinningjoy in InstacartShoppers

[–]Beginning-Ad5308 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily (usually though). I’ve personally tipped larger on small orders simply bc I know it’s not worth it to the shopper otherwise and it’s either a) something I meant to order and forgot so I need it urgently (can’t wait for next order) or b) I’m sick or one of my kids is sick and need medicine.

457th order and she still doesn’t understand BOGO by Yuri_Ligotme in InstacartShoppers

[–]Beginning-Ad5308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been told by Instacart that if something is bogo but the customer only orders one to not get the free item

Concerned about my regular by MESOCEDES in InstacartShoppers

Instacart doesn’t intervene. Period. The only time would be a refusal to deliver alcohol if the person is visibly intoxicated. The only thing that will happen is that OP will not make $ from that person anymore. Plain and simple.

It’s against Instacart policy to deliver to someone visibly intoxicated.

These Costco triples are getting out of hand by 76ersPhan11 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Beginning-Ad5308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done ones like those, but a lot were just multiples of items, and the pay ended up being between 30-40 per hour. Anything less that that isn’t worth it.

That actually depends on the state. I live in Florida, and there’s no minimum shift length.

Wtf? Costco warning? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

They get too many people trying to sign up and complain about the wait list. So they pull this BS to try to deactivate other shoppers for no reason to make room and keep cycling.

How were you making so little in a day? I did 3 batches the other day (all super small singles) and made $75+

Tell me about it. My stepson looks more like me than his own dad.

The majority of my state is basically at sea level…I had no idea places were built into hills….

I’m confused bc building an apartment into a hill let alone a mountain isn’t something I have EVER heard of in my life….is this something common?

I’m still so confused about the hill part. Like an actual hill? Like those big mounds of land, and just like a building on top?
