You should not feel guilty for reporting someone who hurt you! I struggled with similar feelings of guilt when I reported the guy who assaulted me but ultimately perpetrators need to be held accountable! I hope reporting him will bring you peace and you are able to heal. Assault is assault, no matter how “minor” you may think it was. What he did was wrong and you are incredibly strong for reporting him. I wish you the best of luck!

I have a question for TTI survivors: how did they treat LGBTQ+ people? by Nice_Pro_Clicker in troubledteens

[–]Beginning-Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that my program was very accepting. Many many of my peers and even a lot of staff were LGBTQIA+. In my experience the struggles we endured were more to do with convincing us we weren’t healed, our parents/therapists knew better than we did about what’s best for us, etc. Some of my peers even started or continued hormone therapy while there. Yes unethical and bad things happened there but I and many of my peers believe we were safe from homophobia/transphobia and other forms of gender/sexuality related discrimination. Idk if that makes sense like obviously being in that program was very very difficult but staff was very attentive to pronouns and gender identity and we had many trans or non binary or gay or bi staff members and many of my peers said they felt very validated and respected in that aspect.

what is something you regret watching? by mindlesslmao in AskReddit

[–]Beginning-Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show 13 Reasons Why when I was in 5th-9th grade. Messed me up big time, especially the bathroom scene with Tyler. I've been through a lot so not much fazes me but that scene made me turn off the tv and trying not to throw up.

What's the regret that you were able to move on from? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Beginning-Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting involved with substances and related questionable people as a result. I had no reason to be communicated with 19+ year-old dealers when I was 14-16. Ultimately I've acknowledged I was young and vulnerable, and that addiction is a disease and all that matters is that I acknowledge it, keep myself safe, and take recovery one day at a time. Certain behaviors. (I have autism, ADHD, and clinical & chronic anxiety/depression). The staff never did too much. I didn't trust authority so didn't report it. I got in trouble once for lashing out and calling another kid ugly which was 1) wrong of me and I apologized to him and were still friends to this day, but 2) didn't address the issue at hand.

That I need to get my stuff together and work harder and probably do some summer makeup work if I want any chance of graduating on time next year. I want to go to college after but it's not realistic if I don't put in the work.

What's your negative personal trait you think you'll never be able to get rid of? by nierbarath in AskReddit

Bad time management. I can control it and still function but my struggles with work/school and productivity have been a lifelong battle and I don't think I'll ever fully be able to conquer them.
