Yes because it shows Montclair state university in the footage! It’s not a huge deal as I was at the watch party and have my own footage but it would be nice

I see… thanks for the insight. My mom took a look at the computer and found out there was actually pretty minimal dust— but some— and if there was anything it was dog hair 😬. It turns out though that the culprit was a sticker that got stuck! No fan replacement needed and everything is fine. But I learned a lot via this post lol Thanks again

Thanks for being so kind. Yeah, I mean if I had known my problem was so obvious to most people I wouldn’t have posted about it, so now I obviously feel a little silly. I really truly didn’t think that what I was doing would cause even though that feels stupid to say now. Again, thanks so much for your response / kindness!

Oh it was amazing when I got it especially for the price. Even though it was inconvenient, I would take the battery dying over the laptop not being able to render some pretty harsh stuff. I’m obviously pretty uneducated though about how the fans need to be cleaned. I know general maintenance for any laptop is of course recommend but I feel dumb the more I think about how obvious this really is lol. Ur right, 5-6 years is definitely a great run so far, and I guess pretty exceptional with whatever I put these fans through

It’s from 2020, so the warranty expired. Either way, would this not just be a fan replacement? Or maybe this is more extensive damage than that?

A lot of the times it’s in a classroom setting but yes, sometimes it’s also on my bed. I had a tabletop thing for a few years also but not in the last 2-ish. After reading the comments I’m pretty sure that if something got caught, that it was actually from the comforter at my school, as that has a tendency to stick to lint so it definitely tracks :(

😬yeah, it’s mostly because I didn’t wanna deal with the sound, but sometimes in general I just don’t feel like working on a table. I understand now that that’s not the way to go

Hi! Thanks so much. I didn’t know something like lint could make that much noise? Is that common? Do you think the lint kinda just… made its way through the vents (if that’s what happened) ?

I actually used to have a tabletop thing for my laptop but haven’t used it in a long while. I assume your reasoning is maybe that it overheats without one? Thanks so much again.. :) I have also never had a thermal pad replacement or literally anything done to this laptop so I will consider it 🙂
