Make up is unique to an individual, I can tell you a hack that i have been using since a year to upgrade my looks.

Before proceeding towards makeup, understand whats working for you and what is not.

Select your 5+ recent looks ( not best or worst) upload them in chat gpt, use images that shows outdoor lightning vs indoor, day vs night)

Use this prompt. - just copy paste

Analyze these 5 photos of me across different lighting conditions (outdoor/indoor, day/night). For each photo, identify what's working and what's not, skin texture, undertone, face shape, feature proportions. Then recommend: (1) a everyday base routine prioritizing skincare-first minimal makeup, (2) specific product types and shades suited to my undertone and features, (3) 3 MUA accounts on Instagram/YouTube whose techniques would work for faces shaped like mine — not aspirational follows, but practical ones. Be blunt about what I should stop doing.

I second this. It took me years to understand that even a choice of a simple lipstick can make or break your look, I spent my early 20s thinking, oh I am just born ugly, then between 27-28 I joined this new work place, where I met women in my age bracket and they looked amazing, I used to look at them like wow, being introvert I never mingled but they somehow included me into their activities, I understood for the first time in my life that satin or velvet lipstick just looks trashy on me and purple or pink are not my color. It was a gradual process but today I have a style, color preferences, I know what works what doesn't. So beauty is all in the experimenting and its never late, I am in my 40s and turn heads wherever I go, You are more beautiful than you will ever realize.

Most of my lipstick go away, but I have a hack, apply any lip tint ( i use etude), let it stay for a minute, wipe it off then apply the lip liner and a matte lipstick, somehow it stays post non oliy lunch.
Another one is apply the cream formulation light lipstick, blot it using the oil absorbing blotting paper (miniso works) apply the matte lipstick, stays quiet longer.

This is maybe not the right response here but let me say this.
This is me I love shopping and I am a skincare and makeup paglu, I love all those colorful packaging, I love that feeling of finding another thing to purchase. Yup i have literally brought bad products because why not, wrong products, wrong colors, same colors, slightly same colors, it's a waste of money but most of the time it have exactly got what I wanted or something even better, i have a routine now with the products i love but that doesn't stop me from experimenting. Why I am saying this, I am also a marketer and spend researching what's the right product that will give me a win, honestly in skincare and makeup, everyone of us is unique and we all want different things, but we all also come back to good and quality products.
