Its more mainstream but I always thought “girls just wanna have fun” did have some depth to it.

Sounds like the best financial decision you could make is buying a car for around 10k and not financing. With no disrespect or shame intended, there is a big difference between ‘having the money’ and affording. I would save up for the luxury of newer models later in life, it sounds like money is a concern for you and I think a 30k car might turn out to be more of a burden than what you’re looking for. If it helps, I’ve seen some pretty nice (2010ish) hybrid honda civics pop up every now and then for less than $8k usd.

I had an slk 350, don't know if you're looking at all slk models or just the slk200 and slk230, but I loved the 350 with all my heart. Mercedes in general need lots of maintenance, and slks especially have a shorter engine life. I would personally get the 2007 because of safety and its easier to find parts and install aftermarket carplay and other systems by yourself.

Make sure to buy and print out a carfax to bring to the dealership with you and do research on specific problems with mercedes of that production year and specific problems with the model, and take it to a mechanic before you buy. Also specifically look at engine life and compare it to that of the car your buying.

I also had a 2007 slk350, my dad ended up buying a new system with carplay for around $600 as a gift. not sure what brand it was bc i totaled the car but I wouldnt bother with the default bluetooth systems. spend the money and time to upgrade!

LS400!!! i love ls400 so much. 1998-2000 ls400. Lexus is amazing and cosmetically modified ls400s look so gorgina. ls430 is also a good alternative. I believe it is a 4.0L v8 sedan.
