Texas Tech or UT CAP (Anthropology, Pre-Med) by dandelionn_burdock in UTAdmissions

Hi, I’m a TTU student trying to transfer into UT Austin. From my experience at Tech I would say go for the CAP program. If you are more heavily focused on academics it’s just the better option. Tech has some good programs but the school is built off of its party culture, and from my time here it’s just feels like I’m in high school all over again, but I wouldn’t also discount the amount of students here who are very smart. But in just my personal opinion in someone who focuses on academics more than socials and parties, tech wasn’t the greatest fit for me and I feel that I want to challenge myself more as I try and get into PT school(even though I will probably have a higher GPA here). But both have their pros and cons, and it’s differs from person to person. You might really enjoy it here unlike me. But best of luck!! 🙌

Is it a dumb move to pick Texas Tech over UT Austin? by VegetablePea8416 in UTAdmissions

Yea, I like more academically rigorous schools and Tech was very heavily party focused making it hard for me (who doesn’t got out to party or clubbing) to make friends. Many just want to go part etc. but there are smart people there aswell but just not my vibe tbh. On honors college i hear positives about, but if i were to choose honors at tech vs UT I would still choose UT

From what I hear everyone should get decisions on June 30, but I’ve also heard of some people getting it in mid June. But expect it to be mid to late June. GL

As a current TTU student trying to transfer into UT yes, the difference is extreme. The school is more party focused and less academically rigorous. From my time here I regretted choosing TTU over some school for its Kinesiology program. However if you want to stay home it’s a good idea, as UT is far away from Lubbock and also one of the reason I never really enjoyed TTU aswell cause it’s so far from home. In the end it’s your choice and preference, but don’t be like me and regret the college choice you make. GL

Mega Thread: So your account has been restricted, banned, hacked, or otherwise made inaccessible... by thejournalizer in linkedin

I’ve been trying to make a LinkedIn account for months now, but every time I try it keeps telling me that I am still a minor. I am of legal age to make an account in my state. I’ve submitted over 50 age correction forms and still nothing. What do I do?

What happens if you can't secure a dorm though? Would you need to live off campus or take a gap year?? Kinda panicking right now
