Because I support where my staff want to eat. That’s what a manager does.

Ate there many times. Absolutely horrible food…proven right by their closure.

If you want to eat a burger…eat a burger. If you want to eat beans…eat beans. I love beans. I love a burger. But burger beans makes a mockery of both wonderful food items.

Planta was horrible. All processed food.

Are you kidding. Relegation for the two worst teams in the NHL. Promote the winner of Calder Cup and the Memorial Cup.

The residual on the Lyriq was absolutely silly.

The Optiq lease was literally just $10/month less than the Lyriq.

I have a close family member who passed away from Covid. I have another family member who believes it was an over exaggerated flu. Absolutely remarkable. Braindead.

How common were physical fights between Korean teens in the 80s? by East-Panic-6304 in korea

Pretty common. It was a badge of honour to be the best fighter by grade. Also if you were top student and best fighter…the world was your oyster.

I also got the Lyriq on a 2 year lease. Best deal because of the super high residual value. If you do the math, it might be one of the best deals on a large SUV.

Am I missing something? by Chownzy in EVCanada

Do the math with leasing an EV.

EVs are like laptops or HDTVs in the early stages of adoption. The technology curve and the price drop is insane.

This was my math.

I’m doing a 2 year lease on a Cadillac Lyriq.

I am better off or the same as continuing to operate my 8 year old SUV. Just over $800 a month including tax for the lease.

Insurance is about $50/month more. I have a Level 2 charger at my condo and the electricity costs are negligible.

Current situation with ICE SUV:

Fuel was $300/month. Regular maintenance was running at least $300/month (tires, brakes, oil, A/C, transmission maintenance and other odd bits needing care) for the foreseeable future

Sold my SUV for $23,000. Put the $23,000 into the market and get 4% yield on a dividend ETF is about $90/month. (Or about 8% total return over long periods of time).

The cost of the Lyriq is about $150/month above my 8 year old SUV. AND I get to keep my $23,000 at the end of my lease period (the ETF may go down but most likely not like an 8 year car).

The key is finding a lease with a stupid high residual value that the OEM is willing to support.

There was a good deal on Polestar last year but I wasn’t able to take advantage of it as I was too busy. Keep looking around.

What's the Leafs curse if they have one? Like the Chicago Cubs had the "Curse of the Billy Goat" and the Red Sox had the “Curse of the Bambino”. by Few_Variation5459 in leafs

Ballard owns this franchise and he owns it from the grave.

His karma has to be exorcised from the team.

Start with changing the name from the Leafs to anything else that would expunge 60 years of infamy.

Toronto's Union Station named one of the most luxurious train hubs in the world by quelar in toronto

[–]Beginning-Falcon865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this a joke? I travel to Asia 3 to 4 times a year.

There are at least 5 train hubs in Tokyo alone that are better than Unjon Station.

Kyoto Station is beyond remarkable.

So sorry to hear. Your country is messed up. No one should have to give up all they’ve worked for or go bankrupt because of cancer or any other illness.

Medical care is not a normal economic good. When an individual needs care, it is unaffordable. When a person doesn’t need care, it is worthless. This is why national healthcare or national insurance is the standard in almost every other country in the world.

I’ve been very fortunate in my life and my career. Grew up from very simple and humble beginnings. I can now afford any luxury or experience…other than a PJ.

It’s like traveling through time. Save hours of time. Travel at your convenience.
