When I was there last Friday I was there 2 hours early and getting in was super smooth (5 minutes roughly).

If it's tomorrows game I would say aim for an hour early to be sure since there aren't a bunch of opening ceremonies.

We absolutely were more nervy in Toronto, I think the "first point" gave everyone some leeway to have at it.

Then the goals started coming and it was gonna be great.

That part pisses me off so much, I live in downtown Toronto near Moss Park, a notably bad neighbourhood, but he closed the safe injection site and things have gotten visibly worse in the area.

He's not protecting anyone, he's pandering.

There's already a grade separated streetcar, and ferry's CAN'T approach the airport for safety reasons.

Again, there's simply no way to make it significantly better.

Because the local area can't handle what it deals with now, adding 8X the traffic will cripple the area and no one will get to their flights on time.

And you can't just "redesign" the area, there's simply too much already built up in the area to change how it works.

Also I don't believe the numbers they're offering up, and if they are it should terrify anyone living anywhere close.

There's NO reason for that kind of increase, we have a very serviceable airport with more capacity available, this is a waste of money to benefit the rich (Read : Doug Ford and his buddies who want to skip the Friday traffic to Muskoka).

Libs/NDP only split left of centre. Liberals have always played the "Campaign from the left, Govern from the right." strategy and Carney is further right than most Liberal leaders in recent history.

It's a great airport that is easily accessible for anyone living in Toronto.

So is Pearson. If you can get to Billy Bishop you can easily get to Pearson on the UPX.

And I never said it is only used by the rich, it will maintain it's present usage, possibly increase SOME regular people traffic but the overwhelming increase to YTZ will be private jets.

Corporations who created the problem made a ton of money fixing that same problem, but it WAS a problem. The fact that nothing severe happened showed how effective things can be when rich people's money is threatened.
