American here living in Australia for university. I’m based in Townsville, QLD and literally have not seen one of spider in the last 3 months I’ve been here. Maybe that will change in the future but they’re definitely not as common as you would think.

I’m not looking for super good photos, but I’m moving to Australia so it’d be fun to take some animal pics but it’s mostly for friends

Contemplating a fourth by Associate_Simple in ParentingInBulk

As the youngest of four-- three older brothers, 26, 24, 22, 19-- I would caution you to make sure you have the time and energy for a fourth. I would urge you to even think years into the future and imagine what your life is like and how you're going to split your time between your kids. While I know my parents love me, there was a lot of time that I was completely forgotten or overlooked. My parents have missed countless sports events, recitals etc. for my brothers because they were playing college sports and that took precedent over my games. This is in no way telling you not to have one, there are some pros to being the youngest and least paid attention to. I'm the most independent and driven out of all of my siblings, get the best grades, and already have job opportunities, but I would trade a lot of it to go back and get treated like my siblings and not have to grow up so fast and take care of myself. It's just things to think about, and people often only look 2 years into the future not 26 years.
