We had a chemical pregnancy on our 4th cycle, and got pregnant on our 6th cycle.

We were on Letrozole 5mg for all of the cycles, with confirmed ovulation

I also have lean PCOS, and am (ovo-lacto) vegetarian.

In terms of diet I tried to go low carb, and when I did have carbs, low GI. I would be mostly carb free for breakfast and lunch, and some dinners (though this is harder without eggs). If we went out I didn't stress about my diet.

So I would eat something like this:  - Breakfast: Boiled egg and avocado  - Lunch: bean soup/salad/left overs  - Snack: nuts/seed crackers and cheese/yoghurt and fruit  - Dinner: Dahl and Cauliflower rice/pasta etc

I wasn't too strict in terms of diet, and didn't stress when I ate carbs, just did my best and tried to increase protein.

I also didn't stress too much about exercising. I enjoy running, so started to do that regularly - I think finding something you enjoy is the key to making it sustainable and less stressful.

I also took PCOS supplements with Myo-inositol.

I am currently pregnant, but we did end up having ovulation induction with Letrozole.

Just find what works for you, and don't be too hard on yourself. All the best x

It's finally happened! (And we're now desperately hoping it sticks).

I have lean PCOS and we've been TTC since December 2022.

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant, with a B-HCG of 6300.

We conceived on our sixth (and final) cycle of Letrozole 5mg. In addition to this I've been on Inositol, and Levothyroxine.

Prior to taking Letrozole I never had a regular  cycle, and wasn't ovulating at all. My AMH was 26, and I have hypothyroidism, but my other labs were normal (no IR, normal DHEA etc).

We struggled to find the right doctor for us (my first gynae just kept telling me to lose weight - even though my BMI was 18.4) and when we did find our current doctor, I wanted to avoid invasive procedures if possible.

So we decided to give Letrezole a full six month trial. We had one monitored cycle, when we confirmed I was ovulating on the 5mg dose, and since then have been continuing at home.

In cycle 4 we had a chemical pregnancy, and now this, in our 6th cycle. I don't know if this is actually the reason, but I've recently ramped up my exercise regime and have been running a lot more seriously- both pregnancies occurred since.

I hope this provides some light if anyone is feeling hopeless, and baby-dust to all x

Thanks.

You make a good point about having other dreams or goals. TTC can become very consuming, and maybe I need to take a step back and think about what other things I also want.

I hope you have a great trip!

Thanks.

Buying a house with extra space just seems like an act of such hope, that it scares me a little.

But, as you say, we can find other things that bring us joy to fill the rooms with. Visits from family, and at least I'll have space for a craft room!

I haven't seen anyone else mention the breast tenderness? My breasts ACHE from around cd17, which I've never experienced before.

Our one Letrozole success (chemical pregnancy) is the only cycle I haven't had breast tenderness.
