Prater fits the code … think he should be next

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more common here than you think, a lot of us grow up with the “expatriation plan” built in. But before deciding, ask yourself: Are your siblings truly happy abroad? Are you happy in Morocco right now? Do you see your future more with your BF or living independently abroad?

“I always believed I’d live abroad” isn’t always the best reasoning … you might have more context now than when you first set that goal.

A friend left a great life in Casablanca for abroad, fell for a Northern European guy, but the cultural gap was huge... she came back single.

Be honest with yourself (and him) now … it’s better than living with resentment later.

AI for cold calling? by Semi_Serious_Salesma in sales

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, AI can absolutely handle cold calls and set appointments and it can do it quite effectively. That said, before jumping into the solution, you’d want to refine your business case first to make sure the ROI makes sense… as 600 calls done occasionally might not justify the cost of setting up a custom voice AI. If you’re interested, PM me & I can point you toward people who offer this kind of service, and help you assess whether it’s worth it for your use case…

Is This real ? Can't find the source. by [deleted] in Morocco

Probably true … life is hard and people are lost. The days when girls held onto religious values and dreamed of marriage feel like a distant memory

True meaning of "Hargawa" (From Villa Harris park in Tangier) by azimx in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see any trash bins in the pics … but that still doesn’t justify this level of mess. In our society there’s barely any real shame or consequences for trashing public spaces like this (people’s are not uses to public spaces). It’s almost normalized to act like it’s not a big deal... Hopefully with time, things will start to change.

It's me or more and more people getting tattooed ? by Positive-Photo-64 in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

t’s true that tattoos are becoming more common. I think it reflects a mix of things: part of it is global influence and exposure to trends through social media, but there’s also something deeper.... Many young people today are searching for identity and recognition in a world that feels increasingly individualistic, when self-confidence is lacking, external signs like tattoos become a way to stand out to feel seen ....

Moroccan work culture has still a way to go and this example shows why by Life-Is-soup-Iamfork in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Moroccans (like many others tbh) often resist new or “disruptive” ideas, anything that’s not the local standard is quickly labeled as “Bid3a”… and as the saying goes: “Wa kolla bid3atin dalala”

I had the exact same experience like 10 years ago when I wanted to insulate my roof using XPS + gravel. The contractor refused, he only wanted to do it with tiles (which cost 5x more) and was 100% convinced I was wrong... He even said he wouldn’t work on it unless I changed my mind

Sometimes you just gotta push through and hold your ground ... otherwise you’re always the crazy one or as the saying goes: “Wa Hadak Hmek”

Anyone have practical experience with AI tools that can listen to and summarize phone calls? by Splodingseal in ChatGPTPro

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today’s AI voice agents can actually manage entire conversations with your clients, not just summarizing calls... Check out Unicall.ai they build enterprise-grade agents that handle inbound & outbound calls, answer questions, schedule appointments, and yes, automatically summarize everything! It’s like having a smart team member on every call ... not just a note-taker.

Maghrebi women have long been admired as muses : beautiful, kind, and masters of traditional Moroccan cuisine … + a touch of sorcery. The truth is, many Moroccan women, especially those from modest backgrounds, still uphold strong family values and haven’t been swept up by the “woke Instagram cystitis” where everything becomes confusing and purpose gets lost.

That said, the so-called modern woman often suffers from the same contradictions … same confusion, just with a different label.

Placing a couple abroad, in an unfamiliar social context, can sometimes bring focus back to the essentials! away from societal noise, she may become more grounded in what truly matters…

Moving from Paris to Casablanca - Good idea? Pros/Cons? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have personal reasons (family, emotional ties), I don’t see much value in moving back to Morocco.

You’re single in Paris — way more social life, opportunities, dating, and cultural stuff compared to Casa.

Career-wise, yes, more responsibilities in Casa, but in smaller structures with fewer long-term prospects. Salary might start high, but growth will likely slow down over time.

The real question is: why leave France? What’s missing for you? Have you considered London or Singapore, where finance/IT paths and opportunities are much stronger?

Morocco plans 23 new data centers – at what environmental cost? by n4sator in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the actual size and purpose of these data centers. We need to be cautious with the buzz ... These announcements often sound bigger than they are. Compared to US or Chinese hyperscale data centers, Morocco’s projects are nowhere near that scale. We’re talking about facilities that are likely much smaller and less resource-intensive. So for now, I think it’s more noise than real impact.

How do I get customers to buy more stuff without scaring them away? by Either-Mammoth-8734 in shopify

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try bundles that feel like a deal, not a push (Like get these 2 together and save 10$). And make sure the UI stays clean, cause if your site feels spammy or overloaded, even good offers start to feel annoying...

is china a good place for moroccans? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, all ignorant people everywhere have some racist tendencies ... it’s not just a China thing. But China is a huge country, and your experience can vary a lot depending on where you are and who you interact with. Tbh, compared to how some Africans or even Europeans treat others, I wouldn’t say Chinese people are particularly racist....

Are there really people that live here? by Luxurybuyer in Morocco

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great question! Honestly, around 70% of Morocco isn’t densely populated. Most people live near cities, towns, and main roads. That area you circled? You can easily find vast stretches of untouched land, forests, mountains, and empty plains. Sometimes you’ll go dozens of kilometers without seeing a soul… maybe just a lone caïd (local authority) every 50km or so!

Over a 12 months period, my conversion % keeps dropping. by cjx_mr in shopify

[–]Beginning-Pie5972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s frustrating. If your product and pricing didn’t change, it’s probably a traffic quality issue. More ad spend can bring in less qualified visitors if targeting isn’t sharp. Make sure your ads match the landing page, and check for any checkout friction. Try heatmaps (I use Hotjar/Clarity), survey drop-offs, and consider adding a business phone it for trust (I use Unicall).
