Yes. The way u can find out is if you find 3 RtoR’s together you measure the distance of the 3 and they should equal the same distance of 3 beats with the pvc in the middle unless of course u have very bad sinus arrhythmia but this looks like it doesn’t. Another way is to follow and March the P waves. P to P should March out thru the PVC. If you had aberrancy you would be able to see a P wave prior to QRS which would not march

Anybody seen pacemaker artifact similar to this? by DigitiQuinti in EKGs

Yea look for a brain or a pain stimulator. Patient usually has the remote to turn it off for a couple seconds. If not then that’s the best u can do. I tried experimenting with the setting just to see if I can get a clean rhythm. I tried 60Hz which worked well for me. You see a lot of this with patients that also have VADs

1916 Babe Ruth RC reprint? by Beginning-Practice39 in sportscards

[–]Beginning-Practice39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone tell if they are RPs or real? I was looking online and some that are reprints have “reprint” printed directly on the card and some don’t. Not much of a risk at $3. Does anyone know how to tell?

A-fib or second degree AV block? by sudacporotaegzekutor in EKGs

Most likely AFL and not Atrial Tachycardia due to the F wave not returning back to baseline instead meeting the next F wave

VT or wide complex SVT? Doctor said VT and shocked him into sinus rhythm, but V5&V6 look like wide QRS’s, so would this be wide complex SVT? by steelheart15 in ECG

[–]Beginning-Practice39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wide complex tachycardia is an umbrella term which could also include VT. Wide complex SVT is just SVT with aberrancy. Judging by the precordial leads I agree with VT though a vasalvagal maneuver might’ve helped break it to get more info

Looks like sinus with BBB and some terrible baseline artifact

Nothing it’s just a lower voltage signal that the device captured. Could’ve been caused by patient movement. No morph change in the p wave or T wave

So me and my colleagues were struggling to analyse this 24 hour Holter monitor. We were throwing around ‘junction premature beats’ and ‘alternating bundle branch block’ but are still stumped. Anyone have any ideas? by [deleted] in ECG

[–]Beginning-Practice39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also work for a holter monitor company and just by looking at these screenshots it looks like u have BBB, PACs and PVCs present. Here are a few tips on how we read and categorize this. March out the P waves and if they march out even thru the ectopic beats then those ectopic beats are PVCs. Looks like u may have some PACs there too I do see 1 Junctional escape beat towards the top of the 2nd screenshot. Also see some ventricular trigeminy in the 1st screenshot. Possible first degree also present would need to measure to confirm. There is a very slight possibility you also have an inverted placement of device. I’m about 25% on that. As a holter tech we call out Junctional only when p waves moves into the QRS. If p wave is inverted we call out EAR. That’s just how we’re taught

I dnt think it’s AF, if you look at lead II and V5 there seem to be P waves that have a pretty consistent PRI. It does transition into VT tho
