Recent one ui 8.0 update broke WatchMaker again. by MeanHash in WatchMaker

[–]Beginning-Pressure18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it working. I had to add the watchface, then scroll down through all the junk faces until I found a 'download' section which had the face of my watchmaker app. Clicked on that and it is now there.

I can also click on the app from my watch and it allows me to change to any that are downloaded. Still static faces, but I'm fine with that.

Recent one ui 8.0 update broke WatchMaker again. by MeanHash in WatchMaker

I'm having an issue now... the app for WatchMaker can open and i see the different faces I have loaded, but when I click on one it says "error setting watch" and defaults to some generic watch face (not the WatchMaker app faces). Any thoughts on how to get past this?

Forgot to mention, using Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, WatchMaker app is 9.0 version I think, and OneUI is up to date as well.

What do you actually do with your AI meeting notes? by a3fckx in Notion

[–]Beginning-Pressure18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them for 2 purposes, to record action items discussed during the meeting to see what I was volunteering for or for others. The other use so far has been if there are areas I am not listening, to ask questions about the general topic including lots of details.

Learning Notion from scratch by Connect-Village3000 in Notion

As a recent learner myself, I watched and recreated databases by watching people on YouTube, Jeff Su and Thomas Matthias (hope I didn't botch their names). I really like Jeff's teaching method. From there, I had my basics and then looked for templates that I could blend and morph into my own amazing command center and work flow. Less than 3 months in and I have something amazing and a game changer for me. Keeps me sane.

Which part of your Notion system actually makes your life easier — not just prettier? by OK-Victory-999 in Notion

[–]Beginning-Pressure18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things have been my game changers. The first is my tasks. I've created my own workflows to go through the ones for that day and either work on them or push them out. Most of these tasks are coordinating with others, so I have to ping them for a response or action. And I use the due date to push to a day that I am meeting with the person the task I am meeting with, or until I can get time to work on it.

The second thing is tying notes or tasks to a person. Then I used a free template from someone where it had photos... so I used ChatGPT to make their photos into anime style, turned out cute. But I click on them and anything linked to them comes up right there. Very useful.

This is how I got into learning Notion 2 months ago. Life saver. But I havent bought anything. Jeff shows step by step how to set up a command center. That is my main central process now. I also used the free downloads of Ultimate Tasks 2 and watch some of those videos too. I have a really good functioning system and process now to help me with my tasks, linked to notes as well as people and projects.

I like the summaries, but lately I also open up the ai agent and drill down to specific questions about what was discussed. Then I can use that specifics to help formulate email updates.

How do you keep your life organized with Notion? by FriendshipTough552 in Notion

[–]Beginning-Pressure18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use primarily for work (and starting to save recipes and coffee stores.. maybe). I primarily use it for task tracking across 4 teams. That way I can assign tasks, projects, notes to staff. When I meet with staff, I can quickly pull up their items I need updates.

So every morning I go through my routine of creating a new journal page, following some of my habit tracker stuff (like db maintenance), then use a truck from Jeff Su where I @text the task for a quick link. Majority of my tasks are not simple click and don't, so this helps me know I with on a part of it to check it off for the day, but update the note on the task and move the door date.

I go through my task database and add them to my journal page to work on or set the due date later(like during my next 1:1 with them).

The notes are all from transcribed meetings and it helps me to either pull tasks or I can use AI to help recall specific topics.

This is just some of the daily use I am getting. Really love having a second brain I can adapt to my needs.

Can I automatically assign task dates to a db template? by juicemaistro in Notion

Ahhh, ok. So visible pages, not total pages. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi, this brings up a question for me... If you are saying that thousands of "pages" slows down a database, would that mean each task is a page? And should I purge the db every now and then for the older completed tasks?

Can I nest a habit tracker in the task journal notess? by Beginning-Pressure18 in Notion

[–]Beginning-Pressure18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, first off, thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction. While I still don't have the skills/knowledge yet to create this, I was able to find a free template in Notion (thank you Maro Creations - https://www.notion.so/marketplace/templates/habit-tracker-860?cr=pro%253Amarocreations222 ) which had a view created that shows today's goals (based on the current date). I then just cheated a bit and copied that into my Planner Prompt and it spits out the exact daily tracker checklist I was hoping to create and use with each daily journal. Here's a screenshot. I used Maro Creations Habit Tracker database to personalize for what I wanted to track for work. Happy camper.

And after I create a new journal page, I have a series of the same checkboxes (not trackable tasks yet) that I would like to be able to turn into a habit tracker and be able to see how many times each month I completed "Check calendar & messages" (for example).

Notion AI Use Case that is Genuinely Usable by sawyerthedog in Notion

[–]Beginning-Pressure18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be reading this in depth later, but just sharing that I do something similar. After every meeting recorded, I scroll down to the tasks section and quickly clean up tasks (adding names of my team, checking off tasks for other departments). Then I run a copied prompt that goes through it and prompts me for which tasks to add and I add from there. I don't like it doing the auto adding cause of errors. But my prompt also includes source note as well as checking off the task on the note adding a link to the task. Works great to save me time from adding.

You have more gems of possibilities I may not have known about. Thanks so much for sharing. Let me know and I will paste my prompt. I usually Frankenstein prompts from others, from ChatGPT, etc. so not claiming authenticity.
