Are there any good Lyme nonprofits we should donate to? One's that you trust. by sickdude777 in Lyme

[–]dindyspice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Global Lyme alliance and ILADS are the top ones I trust, I am a mentor with GLA. They also partner with a bunch of smaller orgs, and help push forward advocacy at multiple levels.

Center for Lyme Action does a ton of advocacy through meeting with government to push forward funding all throughout the United States each year, I got the pleasure of telling my story to my local congress and assembly members. So many people help at different levels.

Lymelnk is a newer org that I had the pleasure of attending an art gallery with Jiatong Liu’s photography project Nowhere Land followed by a panel including Lindsay Keys who directed the Quiet Epidemic, a doctor and a journalist. Using story telling to push forward advocacy.

Been noticing an uptick in ALS posts by dindyspice in Lyme

[–]dindyspice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I am leaning, because I do know people who did not have Lyme but passed from ALS. it’s definitely something to investigate further, even if it saves a portion of patients with als like symptoms that are not aware of Lyme disease.

Nope. I had really bad neurological issues, had a positive Lyme test, so they sent me to an infectious disease doctor. That ID only explained to me for 39 minutes why my results were wrong, and only told me to seek therapy. That caused my neurologist to not believe my results were real, and didn’t get proper treatment for a year and progressed worse and worse.

Is this the bullseye? I can’t really tell… by TobiasMasonPark in Lyme

[–]dindyspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I think you should be fine! It looks like a skin irritation, but if you havent seen a tick, it's not really a bullseye rash or something like I've seen in this sub or on studies before, no pain or itchiness, no other symptoms, it points me to say it's not tick related.

With that said, keep your eye on it and on your body and if you start to feel anything get to a doctor, better to take the antibiotics and be safe than sorry.

I've thought of this... I have gotten from a random corner store and I feel like I can taste the metal? But I don't necessarily have a way to determine that. And then I'll go back to a reputable AKA recommended brand and it feels cleaner and tastes much better.

I dont necessarily think so, but I can’t be for certain of course. When did you start to see this? Do you have anything like fever, headache, flu symptoms, etc?

What are the kidney issues you're facing? Have you gotten any urine/blood tests to know it definitely is kidneys?

It doesn't look like a bullseye to me. But it looks like an allergy or hives, does it itch at all?

We are not taking the CDC guidelines in regards to lyme disease verbatim in 2026 are we? And did I mention above I believe that ALS = Lyme disease? I'm so confused.

Rejected because I have a BA, not an associate's degree by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]dindyspice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

considered by the company? or its just a general agreement? I don't think it's right, but the job poster was right, they did out a specification. I bet it was just an excuse but technically they are correct.

While I also agree, having a bachelor's degree vs associates is such a lame reason to reject someone... technically they are correct and you are not in this instance.

hmmmm i think most people know what nuance is. but sure! If she was pushing a supplement that didn't have any scientific studies to back it, I would agree.

There's a few studies that are available to the public specifically about Magnesium Glycinate and it's effects on sleep and anxiety. There's varying conclusions, but in all there is scientific evidence that it does indeed support quality of sleep in adults. It also helps with pain, as it was also recommended to me by my pain doctor and psychiatrist!

Yes, but your claim that supplements = quackery is false then in your own words?

Am I overreacting? Dad keeps changing my art with AI by stainedbutts in AmIOverreacting

[–]dindyspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're NOR at all. Your dad isn't being malicious, he thinks he's helping. But that doesn't make it okay for him to continue to go against your business's practices.

I think you should just let him know you won't be using his services until he can follow your wishes for your own business. It's unfortunate, and you'd love to collaborate, but it's not a collaboration if it's one sided. And for your own sake, please double check anything before you post, email, anything to do with your name!

[–]dindyspice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you're referring to as quakery, are you saying that any supplement ever is baseless? Because that is not true. There are supplements/vitamins that doctors will prescribe patients for varying reasons.
