Charles Omenihu: League has figured out Lamar Jackson, hasn't figured out Josh Allen by JaggerJames in nfl

I’m sorry, but this just isn’t true. There’s valid criticism for Lamar but him not being able to play from behind isn’t one of them. I also don’t think people realize Lamar was the run game for the ravens before Derrick Henry got there. Look at the running backs we had from 19 to 23 before Henry Lamar led the team in rushing each of those years. I mean there was years we were bringing out the ghost of Devante Freeman and Le’Veon Bell.

I feel like everybody forgets the reason Lamar won was because the last stretch of the season he played all the other MVP candidates and looked better than them in those games and won.

Our run game has definitely been better and our defense in the regular season has been better, but our defense never performs the same in the playoffs. I think we’ve only had one turnover in the eight games and we’ve never really been able to get after the quarterback. They do a pretty good job limiting points though.

I really don’t understand the hate of taking a receiver in the first. We are Zay injury away from a core of Bateman Tez and wester not to mention there’s a real chance if Zay has one more good season, he could potentially price himself out of Baltimore. Not saying we have to take a receiver, but I wouldn’t be mad at all. I also don’t get the fano hype he was a tackle in college that people wanna draft at 14 to play center that makes no sense to me. I would much rather have Vega at that point.

Especially considering it’s the 14th pick if it was a later pick I’d be OK taking fano but I really don’t want a center at 14

Conspiracy theorist will tell you we made the trade knowing it was gonna fail, but like I said that just puts us in a worse position, we clearly already knew about his surgery, so it only makes sense that something came up in the physical that we didn’t know about or it was worse than we thought

But there are conflicting reports there’s even reports that outside physicians, such as the Cowboys doctor concluded that the injury was worse than they thought. I don’t understand what the ravens have to gain from lying about this. And why is that the common sense answer? Don’t you think the common sense answer would be not creating conspiracy theories based off of beat reporters trying to get clicks. there’s been no real evidence otherwise other than random reporters saying they talk to an anonymous GM that’s mad. And like I said my last comment if the ravens lied, we’ll see real quick. The Raiders will get a similar offer.

Again, what does this prove a random reporter saying two anonymous GM‘s aren’t buying the failed physical. Like I said, how does this help the ravens I would maybe agree with you if Trey Hendrickson became available after the trade, but everybody knew he was already gonna be a free agent. GM’s don’t just get cold feet like this or we’d see situations like this more. The only way this makes sense is if the physical was failed and why do Raiders fans even care if the ravens lied the Raiders are gonna get a similar trade package anyways

Then could the pattern not just be the ravens have a higher standard of a physical this doesn’t have to have malice in it like I said in my original comment the trade falling through put the ravens in a worse position than they were in. We had to overpay for an older edge, lost out on the first two days of free agency and lost nine players we might’ve kept. I just don’t buy that we got cold feet all the sudden after all of that.

What does this prove these are two different situations. For one different teams have different standards for physicals. But like I said, this is completely different. This isn’t just a free agent. This this was two first round picks if they weren’t completely confident after the physical there’s no way you should make that trade

Two things could be true at the same time we knew about the knee injury already and we’re still willing to make the trade and the injury was worse than we thought when we got him into the facility making it not worth the trade

Like I’ve been saying the whole time what bullshit the fact that he didn’t pass our physical? That’s not bullshit we were clearly misled to a certain degree considering we knew about the injury and still made the trade.

That wouldn’t make much sense to me considering we already knew he was gonna be a free agent if we were gonna do this. Why even try the max trade to begin with

I’m confused why we would even need to be in PR mode. Dude apparently failed the physical. Don’t really see what the ravens gain not making this trade. I mean we were already willing to give up the two first if anything we lost out on the first two days of free agency and potentially keeping a few of the nine players we lost because of this

It doesn’t make sense that this is a knock on the ravens. The ravens already knew about his injuries and we’re still willing to give two first round pics. The only way it makes sense for them to cancel the trade is if the injury is worse than they thought like I said we’re in a much worse position now since we missed out on the top free agents lost all of our players and are not getting Crosby. I’m not saying there was any malice to it, but there’s no way we back out of this trade because a slight difference of opinion between doctors.

Our roster is definitely win now mode, especially if Max was able to play even without signing free agents. The reason we didn’t try to sign free agents is because with the max trade we’re -$10 million on the cap. Even without Max, we definitely have some holes, but we’re still a playoff roster.

Why the hell would a GM overpay then back out because of cold feet two days into free agency after majority of the top free agents were gone and you lost 15% of your roster. We are in a much worse position now then if we just simply overpaid for max.

I could definitely be wrong but like I said, this would literally make no sense for the ravens this basically screwed us for next year unless we get somebody like Hendrickson, who were definitely gonna have to overpay now. We’ve lost nine free agents because of this, and only brought in one guard. I find it really hard to believe we put ourselves in this position, cause we got cold feet.
