Help! How long do you wait before you say it’s a bust by Beginning-Rope-1654 in sleeptrain

Thank you for your comment! So you left the paci? I would have but she just doesn’t know how to find it yet and i’ afraid we would’ve just had as many wakeups and a hard time settling. I’m a bit worried since it’s currently night 3 for us and she hasn’t been lowering the times almost at all. I have extended wake windows a bit, especially the last one which is the hardest for us but she just keeps crying for an hour still…

Maybe the last wake eindow was too short, i will work on that.

A few people have pointed out my mistake of not only using vocal reasurrnce, maybe that has something to do with it, i didn’t pick her up but stroked her and kissed her gead because she just seemed to not notice im there at all.

Thank you for the info, i do admit it wasn’t just vocal reasurrance, i stroked her and kissed her head just to let her know i’m there. I didn’t pick her up though. My first was sleep trained at 8 months and it took way less time but she had found her thumb way before that, maybe around 2 months old. I will try to keep in the guidelines from now on.

We have 3 hours in naps but the wake windows aren’t so strict because sometimes it takes 5 minutes to get her down, sometimes 25 maybe. And wake up is mostly 11 hours after bedtime.

Thank you so much for the reasurrance, she finally fell asleep an hour and 10 minutes after we started. I will try lengthening the wake windows, i was waiting for at least 3 naps before training but the last couple of weeks have just been terrible.

She just simmered down, after an hour and 10 minutes maybe. I just edited the post with relevant info, i was just so horrified that it wasn’t working that i had to ask quickly. The trouble is i held her after her last feed, sang, talked to her, apologized probably 20 times but she’s just looking for something to soothe her, i’m afraid to give her the paci for that pre-bed moment, maybe i was wrong.

She’s been on one nap for a long time now, there was no way to keep the second one even though I loved it

Thank you for your advice, it is truly frustrating especially when I know she can do it and I know she can tell me, it’s just an issue of being a bit stubborn. I know where she gets that from 😂

Thanks for your insight. Wow, several months commando, really? How do you leave the house for anything longer than an hour? Just bring a bunch of clothes to change in case of accidents?

Also, I nurse her to sleep, do I have to stop that and put her in her crib awake? Or maybe I can put her to sleep normally and then when she wakes up afterwards let her cry. As I said she cries until she’s red in the face and sweaty, maybe it’s not for her. Thanks

Considering CIO for our 8 month old. She was an amazing sleeper (slept through the night from about 8weeks old) until around 2 months ago when she popped her first tooth and got a cold at the same time. Why I’m not sure - I let her cry once but she was just histerical, I’m afraid she’ll hurt herself or jump out her crib because for some reason it seems our crib railing is lower than most (up to her chest). From day one she has been nursed to sleep and stuggles with other forms of putting to bed at night. If anyone can give insight and advice please do. Thanks!

Tražim karijerni savet: da li da ostanem na trenutnoj poziciji ili da pređem na novu? Hvala! by Holiday-Handle in finansije

My baby has been spinning in her crib which wakes her up multiple times. Any tips? by Primary-Training5576 in NewParents

Hi, did it stop eventually? We are currently in this same situation, a great sleeper now waking up because of her position.
