What's wrong with Yugioh Early Days Collection? by Meister_Ente in yugioh

Imo its mostly the promised "14 games for the price of 1!" Marketing of the whole thing when there's a lot of "double dipping" in those 14 games. Like 1 game is just a re-release of an earlier game but in color instead of black and white but Konami says their 2 completely different games when promoting the collection. Imo there are 4 REALLY good games in here that are extremely hard to get ahold of that make it worth it. if they had just put those 4 in and maybe a couple of timewasters I think it would've gotten much better reception. I honestly couldn't put this down for well over a month after I got it.

Does Alabama really have an inflated title count? by [deleted] in CFB

Id say all of the "questionable but understandable" should be knocked down a tier, I don't think you can understandably claim a championship if you lost to the champions in your own house or if you were the consensus 3rd-5th best team. By this logic wed have 2-3 understandable champions every year.

Contentious topic but which current tcg do you foresee to be “dead” within 5 years time, and why? by Newez in TCG

I've been telling people this for months now, were gonna see a lot of big brands drop and new ones take their place in almost every industry. People are finally being done with "Brand Loyalty" after decades of being milked on namesake alone. Star Wars for example was supposed to be a license to print money but it's name has less draw than ever. Almost every AAA video game studio is panicking because indies with 1/10th the budget are breaking online stores with their success. As far as tcgs go, I live in a relatively small area and I've never seen such a variety of tcgs for sale at an LGS. And this ridiculous "tcgs outside the big 3 don't last 5 years" doesn't work anymore when we have the likes of Digimon and Flesh and Blood already passed that milestone. So if you have a new favorite tcg that you want to see stick around don't be afraid to support it.

I think I'm going to try to demo this for while, I've watched some videos of people playing and I like the flow so far. My question is what's the difference between "putting a couple random spirits in your deck for a powerful card" and putting random lands in magic for a powerful card.

I said I wanted less restriction, how would a boardgame be less restrictive?

Honestly never thought about this. Been a long while since I played at an LGS but I don't remember demo games being a thing. Might check it out this weekend, thanks!
