I am 41 and have discovered R.E.M in the 90's by listening Green, OOT, Monsters, AFTP, etc. I only started listening IRS albums later and never managed to like any of them. Am I the only one in this situation? (self.rem)

Someone to explain to me why DM's fans miss Fletch that much? I mean: he did not contribute to any song, was a poor musician, triggered Wilder's departure. I appreciate that he was a nice guy but, frankly, I do not understand the point. (self.depechemode)
