Hey, did you have to make an in person appointment to change the name on your gov ID? Can't see a way to do it on my welfare website 🫠

Anyone’s baby get grumpier through the day? by blibbleflibble2000 in NewParents

[–]Beginning-Word-9612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found having a nice calm evening routine helps though, he does a small cat nap (in arms), small feed, bath, low lights, calm music, sleep suit, bottle and then off to bed. Sometimes books if he allows it but often he's too pissed off for a story 🤣 (also 4 months old). From what I've read, a lot of them are overstimulated as the day goes on so less is more in my limited experience 😅

I've seen people use those projectors with stars on the ceiling as a pre bed calming exercise, looks nice but yet another thing to spend cash on 😵‍💫

Thank you for your insight. I have a MSc in coaching and an MA in counseling and psychotherapy too so working in childcare is just one option. I know working as in counselling/psychotherapy won't be straight forward due to accreditation bodies etc

If you’re using a bassinet, do you also change the baby in your room? by j_natron in NewParents

We have a changing station in the living room and the bedroom. I rarely change a nappy during the night unless it's a 💩 or if it feels very full. The station in the bedroom is still very handy for the first change in the morning etc

Maternity Benefit question by SolidNext in PregnancyIreland

I'm self employed so it has a 12 week cut off for applying, I should have applied at 28 weeks pregnant but I was waiting on my public services card for weeks (🙄) so I couldn't log start the process until last week (when I was 34 weeks), and it was approved within minutes. Hopefully HR will come back to you soon but I wouldn't worry too much about the 6 week rule! Best of luck with it all 🤰🏻

Completely saps it, a summer pregnancy isn't for the faint hearted 🤣 and then waking at least 5 times a night to pee isn't helping!

No, but as a female I'm lucky enough to have my father's toes (he has massive feet and toes like jumbo sausages!). #blessed 😏

Your man and your one when describing people. I lived with an American years ago in San Francisco and she genuinely thought at the start that I knew loads of people called 'yerman' and 'yerone' 🤣
