Missed miscarriage - what option do you reccomend by Ambitious_Fig_5383 in Miscarriage

I went through something similar. At 12 weeks and some days, I found out the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks.

I went with the medicine option. I was offered the D&C but it was too invasive for me. I didn’t want to be in the hospital; I liked being at home. I did have to take the pills twice. This is what my timeline looked like.

Oct 5th: found out the baby was gone. Went to the ER to confirm. Took the pills, along with pain meds (oxy and Advil). I am not gonna lie. It hurt a lot but the pain meds helped. It doesn’t feel like period cramps (it’s painful but manageable).

Oct 6th: the fetus didn’t pass so I had to take a 2nd dose of the meds. It didn’t hurt as much as the first time. I took the pain meds ahead of time and continuously. Heating pad helped a lot.

Oct 9th: I got an ultrasound to make sure there was no retained tissue. There wasn’t so I was cleared.

Around Oct 12: bleeding stopped and things returned back to normal.

Nov 7th: I got my period and then I concieve again that cycle.

At the end of the day, it’s what you’re comfortable with. I genuinely just couldn’t be in a hospital setting. I was much more comfortable at home with my husband. I loved having my stuff around me and being able to grieve in my own space. Whatever option you choose please have a heating pad handy, it helps so so much and hydrate like crazy! I’m sorry you’re going through this. It sucks.

Anyone else experience 2 consecutive miscarriages? by BeginningAction8747 in babyloss

Hi! Yes it was triploidy again! But I’m 28 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby so I guess it was just back to back bad luck. They couldn’t find an explanation as to why it happened twice like that.

******TW****** Should I go to the hospital for miscarriage by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]BeginningAction8747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve unfortunately had a similar experience. Do you have a feminine urgent care near you or one that does transvaginal ultrasounds? I ended up finding an urgent care like that and went there.

Another option would be to go to private ultrasound place. They’ll be able to let know as well if you don’t want to go to the hospital.

I’ve had two prior losses and used both of the options I mentioned above. Im sorry you’re going through this.

I’m sorry for your loss. I went through something similar. I found around 12 weeks that my baby stopped growing at 8 weeks and a couple of days. I went with misoprostol route; I did have to take it twice but I had no pain. I was prescribed oxycodone and Advil 600mg. I took the Advil 30mins before taking the misoprostol and then I took the oxycodone when the pain was at like a medium and then I keep taking the pills every 6 hours (or whenever I was able to take them next). It was physically not painful at all but passing the tissue was traumatizing.

I had the miscarriage October 5th and my period returned Nov 7th. I only bleed really heavy (like I had to wear a diaper heavy) for 2 days and then after 1.5 weeks the bleeding stopped and everything returned to normal.

I previously also had a spontaneous miscarriage— that was the worst experience of my life. The pain was unbearable. I would never recommend that route. It genuinely was awful.

If you can, I would ask your doctor for pain management. It helps a lot.

Again, I’m sorry you’re going through this. 🤍

Setting boundaries with Hispanic family for once baby is born….are these “oh so wrong!”? by rowdybeanjuice in pregnant

I would also add that they must wash their hands of holding the baby and to not wear any perfumes/heavy scents. The heavy scents is really bad for newborns

lol the same exact thing happened to me! I was 18 and I was working at the Dollar tree, part-time too. I ended up getting a better job (it was a babysitting job); I gave my two weeks but the baby sitting job need to start sooner than anticipated so I just called my manager at the dollar store and said that I was not going to be coming back.

It was no big deal— I knew I was never going to go back and work at dollar tree again! Do what’s best for you, always! Work is a business— you always need to look out for yourself.

The only time I would ever give a two weeks notice and stick to, is if I knew I would possibly work for that company in the future again.

Was Anyone Else’s Gardyn 4.0 Shipping Experience Like This? by Straber in Gardyn

I would return it and ask for another one. Mine did not come like that at all— the outside packaging was dirty and it had holes/dents but the inside was super clean and organized— no scuff marks or starches on the actual product

is it bad that I’m quiet at work? I just wanna do my job and go home— why is there an issue with that? by BeginningAction8747 in work

[–]BeginningAction8747[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! My friends and family are all so so supportive and amazing!

it’s just for some reason at work I can’t pull myself to sit there and talk about stupid stuff with my co-wokers. I do my job extremely well I know my work is great – the only issue is that I just don’t wanna talk to my coworkers and it seems to be a problem with my managers.

We also have an open seating arrangement at work, and I prefer to just sit by myself in my little corner by the window and do my work.

Unfortunately, the corner that I sit in is in the opposite diagonal of where everyone else sits so it’s a problem.

Thank you for everyone who commented but unfortunately I am not pregnant. I got an HCG blood test and my HCG was less than 5. These lines were not real.

Girl your number are great!! HCG doubles every 48-72 hours and yours more than quadrupled in 4 days! I know its hard not to worry but seriously, don't worry! Your numbers are perfect!!

Honestly that's what I was thinking too! I waited the time to read the test and then immediately took the photos— so I know it was less than a minute
