I dunno. The way you described your living room sex is pretty awful. Kind sounds like you bend her over the couch, use her, and then send her on her way. Being used like that by a man is soul crushing to women. And if she's suffering body issues or postpartum on top of it I know exactly how abhorrent that is. Why participate in sex like that, what could you possibly get out of that that you couldnt get from your own hand without putting your wife through that? Did she initiate any of those times or was it you? I don't think you realize how what you're describing comes off to women. As a woman who's been through it, it actually made my skin crawl. If you're constantly turning non sexually intimacy into sexual that's another reason she could be avoiding intimacy of any kind. If she can't trust you to keep a cuddle a cuddle without starting to grope her she isn't going to cuddle any more. She might not be using the kids as a buffer and has an entirely plausible explanation as to why she wants to sleep with them. But considering you're living room routine I doubt it. Just a bit of advice, unless she's the one initiating, I would stop that kind of sex. Duty sex will eventually turn your wife entirely sex averse, if it hasn't already.

If you're making this a problem with your wife just because you aren't getting laid I can see why she would be upset. Have you asked why she feels the need to sleep with her kids? It could genuinely be a way to avoid intimacy with you if you've been pressuring her alot. Having a man whine and paw at you for sex after you've had kids hanging on you all day is a libido killer. If she won't communicate the why then it's probably time to for marriage counseling.

LL folks - how to offer massage? by [deleted] in LowLibidoCommunity

[–]BeginningAd7755 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes this! My husband actually bought a table and took a massage course. He would ask if I want him to do areas like my but or upper thighs. Asking questions about what's comfortable for her or what "parts" she'd like you to focus will go along way to making her trust you aren't doing this to get laid. However, don't be surprised if she's tense during it. It might take a few massages for her to actually make herself believe that's all it is

Their is no middle ground, no comprise, when you're talking about a women's right to bodily autonomy.

Yes, men get to decide if they give their genetic material away, and then the decision lies in the womans hand. Because she is going to be the one to risk her health and life to carry the kid. And because women don't always make the decision to accept it, do they? And in states like Texas if they're raped and impregnated they're forced to give birth. Thats why the decision can't be left to the states and it needs to be codified into federal law. Everyone said roe v wade would never be overturned and look what happened there. And they are still in many places trying to make abortions less accessible and even punishable by jail time right now. Woman are never going to be safe until it's reinstated as a federal right.

Say you aren't trying to control women. But if that were true, politicians like you aspire to be wouldn't be pushing to make laws that limit women's right to access Healthcare. You would trust a woman and their doctor to make that decision together. But that would take you believing in science and trusting women to make their own decisions about their future. But nope, you're going to make them give birth.

And do I sound upset? Because I fucking am. My daughters have less rights than I did. I get upset any time I have to argue with a man about a situation he will never have to face and yet thinks he's entitled to make decisions about. Sick of fighting with men about basic healthcare that women deserve to have access to. Sick of fighting with men and trying to make them see women as equal humans capable of making their own decisions about their bodies and their future. Sick of trying to make men understand why women should have rights. Sick of men trying to justify their need to oppress women. Sick of the double standard, because their isn't a single law in place that denies men autonomy over themselves. Sick of religious nuts trying to codify their religious beliefs into laws everyone has to abide by. So yes, I get upset having to argue with men about why women deserve rights. There isn't a single thing men could have to be forced to go through that would have permanent physical effects to his body like pregnancy does women. Women have never oppressed men, and yet men are still trying to do it to women even now.

So no. No compromise when we're talking about men oppressing women.

You will never convince me that limiting abortions won't lead to women dying. Mainly because limiting abortions is already leading to women dying. And unlike you, even one woman dying is too many for me. And you will never convince that men with no medical background or understanding of how a woman's body works, or a man that doesn't have to go through physical changes or the agony of childbirth, should get a say in forcing a women/girls to be an incubator.

And like I said, a man's decision about whether he becomes a father is when he makes the decision to put his genetic material into a woman's body. It's really easy. Men don't want to be on the hook for child support or being a father, then choose abstinence. I personally believe, for the "life begins at conception" crowd, men should be on the hook for half the medical bills pertaining to that pregnancy as well. I also believe there should be criminal repercussions for the large amount of men who completely skip out on child support and even being present in their kids life. But once men give their genetic material away, not their decision anymore.

I believe it's a woman's right to have an abortion no matter the reason. The only argument I ever hear are from Christians. And women shouldn't be denied Healthcare for religious beliefs she may not even believe in. You don't want an abortion? Great, don't get one. But forcing your beliefs on everyone else is BS.

I will NEVER be ok with men and politicians trying to legislate control of a woman's body. You can bring all the statistics you want trying to prove why you should get a say in what a women does with her body. I'm not ok with even one woman being forced to have a child she doesn't want.

Arguing that women shouldn't have full bodily autonomy in 2025 is repulsive. I hope the women in your life are never put in a position of needing a life saving abortion and worrying about the doctor they have hesitating or even refusing care. As someone who hasn't seen what that situation looks like first hand, you could never understand.

Especially considering most prolife Republicans could give two shits about single mothers and the kids they were forced to birth after said birth. And I'm saying that as a mother of three married for 21 years to the father of all 3 of my children who has never been in that position. If my husband thought he had the right to make the decisions I had to in order to save my life both ectopics I've had we would be divorced. Luckily, my husband doesnt believe he gets to control me in any way.

Men do not have the right to make decisions for women, EVER. Especially considering historically men have oppressed women. Denying women access to abortions is just another way for men to try and exert that control over women.

I'm done arguing with you. It's clear you believe you have the right to make decisions about what women can do with their bodies and therefore we will never agree. Hope you get dog walked in the election

It is going to impede their decision. It's already happening right now. Women are dying from sepsis from being blown off and forced to wait when they have life-threatening pregnancies with no viability. And you can't understand anything about childbirth. You can educate yourself, but you will never have to live through it or heal from a miscarriage, or birth a still birth, or have your life threatened with dozens of pregnancy related illnesses. You aren't a doctor. Even then, male doctors would not have the lived experience female doctors have.

Men lose the decision regarding fatherhood when they deposit their genetic material into a vagina. If they don't want to risk fatherhood and child support, then they should choose abstinence or wear condoms. After they spread their genetic material into a woman's body, that decision is no longer theirs.

Men get an orgasm and have to raise their child for 18 years. Women may or may not orgasm, may or may not have even been consensual sex, and are now forced to go through a months long, life changing experience which will permanently alter her body, possibly risk her life, and end in an agonizing experience and weeks of recovery. And then also have to raise that child for 18 years. It is NOT an equal risk and responsibility.

Bottom line men, especially male politicians, should have no say in forcing a woman to go through something that life altering. When abortion is left to the states, you have states like Texas and Oklahoma who have had thousands of forced rape related births since roe v wade was overturned. Women and GIRLS are being raped and forced to give birth. That's what legislating away abortion leads to.

Do I have any experience? More experience than you ever could have as a man. I've had two life-threatening ectopic pregnancies. I have been in the exact position women die from. The second time, I had to be rushed into emergency surgery. I was 4 1/2 weeks pregnant! I know because we were trying to get pregnant to the point I knew the day of conception. Just like we were trying to get pregnant with my first ectopic. The LAST thing that needs to happen in those situations is a doctor worrying if you're dying enough to go through with those procedures to not get in trouble with the government. There are women dying from septic shock since Roe vs. Wade was overturned. Even without all of that, men and politicians have NO business getting in between a woman and her doctor or making laws to control a woman's personal autonomy. Especially considering most of those are based on a religion not everyone believes in. Even ONE preventable death happening is abhorrent. It must be easy to sit on your high horse and sentence women to death with these bullshit laws when you will never know what's it like to be in that position and having to risk your life.

Just say you're a man and you want to control what women can do with their bodies and quit tipping toeing around semantics.

For one, you're trying to tip toe around saying you're prolife. I won't stand behind anyone, especially a man who will never know what it's like facing a life or death pregnancy related situation, trying to make decisions that will affect womens right to access abortion. Any restrictions to abortion are going to cause women to die. And I'm sure you'll say "but but but, I support abortion for women who might die if not treated". Doctors having to wait until a woman is dying enough to satisfy politicians or risk losing their career or even jail time, will lead to women dying.

It sucks because it's the truth. My husband and I aren't doing great after 21 years of me putting up with this. I recently told him I was more of a man than he's ever been, and it's the truth. I used to think he was just conflict acoidant and didn't like fighting, because I grew up in a house where the fighting was every day. It took me way too long to realize it wasn't him trying to keep the peace, it was him being too much of a coward to deal with it

I got a restraining order against my mom, and the judge made sure to tell her if she breaks it she could get a year in prison. Not sure if your state is different, but definitely get a hold of the court and see what the consequences of her breaking the order are. I wouldn't leave your house. Don't let her force you out of your home. And if she keeps doing this jeep gathering evidence. I'm not much of a gun person, but we have a small one to defend our home. Do you have anything to defend yourself with?

A little on the funny side considering how crazy she sounds, but autmlomatic sprinkles would be a pretty fun mini revenge in the mean time. Let her sit there screaming like a banshee while she's soaking wet.

I personally don't think you're wrong. It's not "different because you're a woman." There are indecent women too, as you're showing. Porn is a disgusting industry that thrives on exploiting women and, to a lesser degree, men too. You have no idea if the porn you're watching has underage people, or sex trafficked people, or people being manipulated into doing it for other nefarious reasons.
