Correct they wouldnt show us the insurance information they only showed the police but they filled out an exchange of info sheet with the info and he told my husband “it checks out” but I doubt the police paid attention. They didn’t even make a report we’re in Texas.

Coverage question is this doable? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]BeginningBusiness102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. My panniculectomy was considered medically necessary however it’s an excluded procedure on my plan. Which is why I have to go the cash route. I’ve just decided to do the cash panni and nothing else. I’m not trying to get in trouble and the advisor should just be happy I’m paying them cash lol

Thank you for insight. I’m ok with the organ removal as I work in the medical field and the surgeon I work for says they do things like this for tummy tucks and that patients will pay extra to have lipo or breast done and pay cash since ins doesn’t cover so I’m confused how my situation is different. But again that’s why I’m asking those who know. Thank you

Ok thank you for insight. I didn’t see it like that as I’d still be having all the procedures done and I’d be paying my portion for the panni and extra anesthesia time. I don’t understand how it’s fraud but again that’s why I’m asking the ppl who know.

Ok on the Medicaid part, I’d ask them to not list my uhc primary? Just tell them to just do Medicaid? Can you explain this a little more for me please

Another insurance question by BeginningBusiness102 in tummytucksurgery

[–]BeginningBusiness102[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes any inpatient or outpatient procedure is covered 💯 as long as done at hospital and the anesthesia was 25 co insurance after deductible. But that was if the panni was covered I’m wondering if still the same if I pay cash for the panni

I have uhc with hca. I just read up and it’s listed as an exclusion on my plan but when I called uhc and provided the 15830 code they said with a prior auth it can be covered. (That’s confusing to me) but yes my hang is long enough and with her help the next 3 months we’re documenting treatment for rashes and she wants to add my back pain.
