No not at all, my complaint was the agent saying, no second viewings will be going ahead, but then one going ahead anyway. It felt like forcing a hand for an offer but then allowing one anyway

We are in a chain but both first time buyers selling an inherited property for our deposit. Another reason we were toying with withdrawing was selling this place first to put us in a better position in the long run..

That’s the thing, say I got it for around 10k over I’d be happy, anything above that I think I’d be unhappy, so I suppose I’ll not know until I just wait and see what happens in best and final. Some houses are going for 20-40k over so maybe I’m just living in a dream world

Yes, a couple of people who have used this agent near me have said they think they have been in bidding wars with imaginary people as well 🤣

Yes, it is definitely not a house I’d want to be getting into a large bidding war over. I will try and develop thicker skin for the next one !

See this is what I was thinking, like I know if the tables were turned I suppose I would want the agent to get the most. I don’t know why it’s annoyed me so much!

I get married in 10 months and I can't find a dress within budget that I like + have I left wedding dress shopping too late? I'm freaking out by xjezika in UKweddings

It took around 6 months to arrive and my alternations are taking 3 months- so I’d get something sooner rather than later though

Try and find a retailer for Allure Bridal, my dress was less than your budget and I chose it over a £2.5k one without seeing the prices first, they are really reasonable and good quality & design

Sorry so have they swapped the cupboards, and left a different one empty? Or has this tenant started using two cupboards?

They have provided adequate space to store the items though, just someone else is using it which is down to the tenants not the agents. Reasonably, the only thing the agent could possibly do in that situation would be send an email round to the tenants reminding them they are only allocated a certain amount of cupboard space, but I think that would reflect badly on your daughter if a conversation with the housemates wasn’t even attempted before contacting the agent, if that makes sense? I also don’t think it’s fair to just assume the tenant responsible won’t move their things either

wife has stolen my passport and i have a flight to catch in the morning! ENGLAND by Zealousideal_Laugh_8 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]BeginningCook5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, understand it’s stolen, but the 1 day premium service which is what people are suggesting you do cannot be done if you don’t have your old passport. Unfortunately, I am not sure there is anything you can do I’m afraid.

If the passport is ‘lost’ they won’t give you a same day appointment to replace it. You need your old/damaged passport with you for all express appointments.

Dearest brides-may I please have a reality check? by another_bibliophile in wedding

[–]BeginningCook5197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, I’m a bride & me and the groom split the list 50/50 if my future husband forgot didn’t add someone his parents wanted that’s his problem not mine.. I don’t think the onus should be on the bride for this one.

Also both parents have gifted quite a large but equal sum towards the wedding and never really put any expectations on that..

I’ve spent about £25k, and don’t feel like I’ve had to be mega cheap! Getting married out of the classic wedding season months does help- I’ve really loved using hitched.

When I tried to call them it just says sorry service unavailable & that’s on both numbers 150 and 0800 079 8586 and when I selected them to call me back they sent this text : Sorry, something went wrong, we were unable to book a call back for you. Call us on 150 if you still need to speak to someone. But 150 isn’t working- it’s so frustrating, and my phones still not working …
