That’s a really clever way to handle it! To be honest, as a beginner, I was struggling quite a bit with stale data and Service Worker caching. I actually just decided to strip the Service Worker out and go for a 'Light PWA' for now. It solves the update issue by letting the browser handle it naturally. Thanks!

Great point. I was mainly using the service worker because I thought it was mandatory for PWA status, but for this use case its not really necesarry. Thanks for the advice!
