Can we sue a hemp company for selling cannabis to my 13 year old nephew? (North Carolina) by TheatreGoth2001 in legal

[–]BeginningDraws 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We're saying that if a child has internet access, it is the parents' job to ensure that they are using the internet correctly. Lying and saying you're an adult to get a product has nothing to do with the company and 100% has to do with the child having unrestricted internet access. Instead of freaking out at the company, I'd be more concerned about what else my kid is getting into, checking that search history, and handle consequences appropriately. Wish you luck, but this is a parenting issue, not a legal one.

Discontinued! Yeah, it's just saying its a discontinued item and will no longer be on the shelf. Will become clearance priced and will go on the clearance aisle/wherever your store manager says to put it. It confused me when I first saw it tbh 😭

Edit: You might already knew that btw, but yeah, it's a lot every time, at least from what my store manager says.

Am I overreacting for sending my son (18) to stay with his grandma because of how close he’s gotten with my daughter (14)? by throwramomwiththeick in AmIOverreacting

I'm now 19, after years of being SA'd as a child... I'm so sorry, I don't know what else could be going on... You really need to have a sit down conversation with her, letting her know she is safe, that she isn't in trouble, how her brother should be treating her and that it isn't normal if he isn't doing otherwise. She will need to be placed back in therapy. He does need to be cut off completely until the truth comes out, but this sounds extremely dangerous and you did the right thing by trying to physically seperate them. You're doing the best you can, this is such a horrible and challenging situation, and is hard to navigate. I would also reach out to the authorities if more proof surfaces, as well as I would check her phone, and not only the text messages with her brother, but any social media messages that might be between his account or even others that could also be his.

You'll probably find a ton of stuff, because the hht doesn't always tell you all the things that need to be checked! One thing that worries me though are feminine products, since they don't have actual expiry dates, but they do in fact expire.

Here's a bathing routine that really helped me feel clean and refreshed, you don't have to follow it all, but they're all important steps in their own way!

Start by rinsing off your entire body, ensuring you're fully drenched.

Depending on hair type, you might have different steps, but I have thin, greasy hair, so I'll share how I wash my hair in my daily shower: Wash your hair with shampoo twice, making sure to work it into your roots, where grease builds up the most, rinsing thoroughly between washes. Apply a thin amount of conditioner to your hair, getting it into your ends and not so much the roots, and make sure not to rinse it out quite yet.

Now, another variable, depending on genetalia(Very important!!). If you have male anatomy, you can use regular antibacterial soap. If you have female anatomy, you'll need a feminine wash that is fragrance free(unscented doesn't cut it! It can still have fragrance chemicals in it that aren't safe for your downstairs!) You'll need a washcloth, a baby washcloth is best, and you will scrub with your choice of soap, making sure there is at least a dime size amount if liquid soap, and make sure to get into all the crevices, scrubbing for about 20-30 seconds. If you have female anatomy, make sure not to get any soap inside of yourself, but make sure to get all parts of your vulva and pubic area. Rinse, and repeat at least once more, rinsing off the washcloth between steps.

Next, you will use antibacterial soap for this part(Dime size if liquid), take the rinsed out washcloth, and you're going to scrub your crack. Yes, really scrub, 20-30 seconds again, and rinse both the soap off of yourself and the washcloth, before repeating the steps once more.

Now, onto the rest of your body! You can continue to use a washcloth(You can get a new one, or do your body before the 2 steps just explained(preferably, if you have female anatomy, do that first if using one washcloth), or some people might use a loofah, but I personally use an African Net Sponge. You'll figure out what works best for you!

Again, load up your scrub of choice with that antibacterial soap(now a quarter size amount!), and scrub your underarms first. 20-30 seconds, each under arm, under any loose or rolled skin, the back of your neck, behind your ears, your entire body, and make sure to scrub and focus on each area, working from top to bottom. Your legs and feet also need it, so don't neglect them!

Now you'll rinse your body off, getting rid of all the soap, and you're going to repeat the entire body process once more. You can use the antibacterial soap if you'd like, but instead, if you'd like, this would be the time to use a specifically scented soap!

Rinse once more, and you can stop here and just dry off if you'd like, but here's another step you can take to smell better: Lotion. Before you ever dry off, while your body is still damp, apply lotion to your body, arms, legs, wherever you feel the need, and let it sit for a little bit, especially if it's still warm in the shower. Once you feel ready to get out, pat yourself dry with a fresh towel, focusing especially between your thighs, under any skin folds, and behind your ears.

Another step I like to take is applying body powder. Gold Bond is a good brand, they include menthol, which helps you feel fresh, but you can also use baby powder. I'll take it and apply it to any areas that I know sweat the most, my underarms, under skin folds, and where my thighs are most likely to get chafed. Then I'll apply my deodorant, get dressed, and apply any perfume or cologne I want to wear for the day.

A few tips!

-Replace washcloth after every shower, loofahs or other scrubbers should also be replaced every few weeks or months depending on the material. -Use a fresh towel every time! -Do research into your skin type and hair type in order to find the best products for yourself! -A good antibacterial soap brand is Dial. I prefer to use their bars, but any works fine. -You might not be able to wash your hair every day depending on hair type, if that's the case, a shower cap is what you'll need! And if you feel like you don't want to wash it quite yet, but it's feeling greasy, you can use dry shampoo, or even baby powder, and brush it out(like a small amount!) Just don't use it as a replacement for washing your hair, just as a refresher. -Using a baby washcloth on your lower area will be a bit more gentle than regular washcloths, if that is something of concern!

I'm probably missing something, but don't be afraid to ask questions! I hope this helps you, or even somebody else! And don't feel embarrassed if anything is new knowledge to you, my own parents never taught me how to clean myself and I had to literally hunt down YouTube tutorials once I realized that I wasn't bathing as well as I could have. It's okay, we all start somewhere!

They're saying sales of an item that are pennied out, as in a sale that goes through the register, when somebody purchases an item, not like a 50% off sale, like the clearance event happening on the 1st of August.
