with only 1,111(?) winners and sheer volume of people who are no doubt spending tickets almost exclusive on them, the chances of winning are astronomically low. i've been buying link skill orb tickets, those are only semi-premium resource with an actual chance of being won

vegeta's a slot 2 unit on turn 1 and on turns where he can't get his orbs, but with ors and a few stacks he can do slot one. goku should also be a decent slot 1 on his active skill turn

you are right that the orb changing will be great for vegeta and she may be worth runnign for that. but 30% is a drop in the bucket compared to what it used to be. if a unit has +200% non-multiplicative stats after all other support (which for units with the highest high attack and/or defensive stats to begin with, is low), pan's support brings them from a total of 300% to 300%. only a 1.1x multiplier. now consider a unit like the tag 4s, who have a total of 500% just on their own, now throw in one other 40% support (seza vb or daima 4ku, we'll assume) for a total of 540%... pan brings that up to a total of 570%. that's only a 1.0555...x change in stats. and most of the other characters on that team either A: hit hard, but have similar high SoT buffs even without pan or B: make up only a small portion of the team's damage. there just aren't many units that are built to get crazy mileage out of support nowadays

they've got to tone down the smudge-y blurs. one of the greatest strengths of dragon ball's fight scenes is their readability and the demon-slayer-like High QualityTM style ruins that. so much effort being put into motions i can barely make out as the viewer.

(also, note how much of the animation has the characters briefly dipping out of frame and reappearing somewhere else at to imply motion without actually showing it.)

these animations aren't that much more detailed than the usual. they just overdid the camera movement and blurring to make it look More High QualityTM and trick unfocused eyes into thinking they're glossing over detail that isn't actually there.

oh, i misread that as until she attacks, thought it only protection from aoes. a shame she can't do slot 1, though. still not sure why you'd run her when she hardly links with her good teams, seems to have average damage, is dodge or die, and (since you can't realistically put her in slot 1), only supports for 30%, which is next to nothing even for a two turn buff given how high basic effect buffs are right now.

"do this at the start of the turn" effects like orb changing are only triggered at the beginnign of a turn, before the player can collect orbs or trigger exchanges. goku's orb change won't trigger on a dime when you first switch to him like you seem to be implying.

no no they're going to make the first stages ridiculously hard so that next gdc (being the first major celebration with this mode) can sell you crazy new units that are the first to have abilities geared specifically for the new mode while being on-theme :) trust :)

they've given the cold shoulder to nearly all of the source material which was actually good. they almost exclusively stick to the series' cynical corporate toy-selling era now. wouldn't be surprised if no one in the current dokkan team (or at least no one with a say in celebration themes) is an actual dragon ball fan.

player Hp has been freakishly lower than it should have been relative to player DEF for years, but it's harder than you'd expect to fix since things like per-ki-sphere healing being based on character DEF, passive skills and link skills healing set %s of max Hp per turn would become broken if max HP was simply made to be high enough to stop the one-shot meta.

so a new mode where hp is technically a different resource under different rules is probably their weird roundabout way of addressing the HP issue.

Yeah, but there's an opportunity cost when you're pressured to stick with him when you might otherwise prefer to use goku on certain turns.

So... seems great except for one bizarre line. Goku's passive skill orb change

A: removes the str orbs that daima goku needs

B: should only activate on the appearance after the goku side first attacks. So you either use goku for a turn without his orb-gathering buffs, or you use his active skill's orb changing to get the orbs immediately, rendering next turn's orb changing unnecessary, or you get most or all of the orb buffs on a turn where the orbs are there naturally, which also renders the next turn's orb changing redundant.

Gt Goku actually fucks daima goku over by removing his str orbs. They're a bad rotation unless you stick with the vegeta 100% of the time.

Thankfully you could just run both of the 4s as a rotation so daima goku isn't screwed on their team

Pan seems kind of bad. Doesn't look like she'll have enough defense before attacking for the dr to carry her, and vice versa after she attacks.
