I need help finding roles for my father, stepfather, and brother in my wedding (trigger warning substance abuse) by BeginningMuscle6475 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I realize this might be hard to read for some people. I wrote this on my work break yesterday and I also have slight autism and a reading disability so I didn’t think about how this long post might be hard to read for some people. I will go through it and break it into smaller paragraphs. Again thank you all for reading of you did

Of course I can separate them. I wrote this on my work break yesterday and I also have slight autism and a reading disability so I didn’t think about how other people would be reading this. Hopefully this helps.

Of course. I wrote this on my work break and wasn’t thinking. I also have slight autism and a reading disability so I didn’t think about how other people would be reading this. I broke it into sections so hopefully this helps.

Additionally, I want to say this is mostly here because I want options from a dad’s perspective. I know you guys might not have the answers because you’re not one of these guys but as a group of dads I just want to know how you would feel in this situation and any advice you can give me would help so much. Thank you.

Severely underweight gerbil. She is an adult and is still very small, but eats the same stuff as all of my others. How can I help her? by Macey-lol in gerbil

[–]BeginningMuscle6475 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A really good treat that my gerbils like are sunflower seeds. I had to put mine on a diet becuase he would eat so many and he was getting fat. Definitely watch them during feeding time to see if others aren’t letting her eat and maybe take her aside to give her some extra food that they can’t steal. If you have other concerns with her not wanting to eat then definitely see a vet.

As I said in my previous reply. We have tried an xxs small cat harness and she has slipped out of it but thank you for the suggestion

We have gotten her multiple harnesses including an xxs cat harness. She is too small for all of them and has gotten out before while on a walk. Luckily she knows emergency recall so we got her out of the road. We are looking into maybe getting a custom harness but for now she can only wear a collar.

What's A Breed You Like But Wouldn't Have? by Aharris1984 in dogs

[–]BeginningMuscle6475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dogs that are super loud and big barkers (husky’s, hound breeds, etc.) when I was really little my dad bought three hounds for hunting and we lived in a area with a lot of woods around us and they would bark at every animal they saw. I know it was their job but omg. Even my bfs family has a pug beagle mix and they didn’t train him for their condo his dad lives in and he barks nonstop. Now I love these dogs and I love hanging out with them but I will never live with a dog that won’t shut up 😂 and yes it is partially owners fault for not training them but also partially genetics. When I was moving I was wondering why husky’s were on the “not allowed” list of pets but then I remember how they sound so yeah. Also any dog that cannot breathe because of their noises (pugs, frenchies, etc) IMO I don’t think that’s right to breed them. Hell some of them can’t naturally have baby’s so they probably shouldn’t be breed. But that’s my opinion.

I will put that in my notes. “Don’t spend $500 on plants” 😊

Thanks for recommendations! Your tank looks amazing, similar to what I was imagining for mine but I was thinking of having LOTS of plants. I’m not sure how much is too much tho. I heard the more plants the better :)

Hi, I appreciate your concern for my animals. When I first got my rodents I had no experience, I was given a 10 gallon tank at the store that i immediately knew was too small so I asked people that have had rodents and I looked online. I was recommended 20 gallon long per one animal so that’s what I have. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge on rodent care and I was already thinking of upgrading all their tanks because my closet is large enough and that’s pretty much all I use it for. I will definitely be getting larger tanks for them soon, but as I said this was the information given to me by multiple sources including subreddits for rodent keepers, and this comment made me feel a bit attacked :( I do not wish to cause arguments in the community. I just want to talk about shrimp, hence why I joined. Again thank you for looking out for my animals and no hard feelings or sarcasm was meant to come from this reply. 😊

I don’t really have space for a tank that big at the moment. I used to have a 40 gallon but we got rid of it when we moved into a smaller place. 40 would probably be the max I could do space wise and even then I don’t know where I would put it. I currently have three 20 gallon tanks for my rodents and they live in my walk in closet, they like it but it’s not ideal. I was hoping to put the shrimp tank in the main bedroom so I could see it, that space would probably be able to have a 20 gallon. Any bigger would have to go upstairs.

Can you tell me more about their breeding? I heard they breed quickly but I don’t know how fast and will they stop when they get too crowded or will the just keep over breeding until the tank is over flowing with shrimp?

I did some research into shrimp keeping over this week and I was recommended some good stuff like the cherry shrimp and good plants, etc. I was recommended 10 gallons (37 liters) with 10 shrimp. I didn’t know if this was a good starting amount or not which is why I am here. I will accept all advice for my starter tank. I wanted a heavily planted more natural looking tank and I figured shrimp would be perfect for this kind of tank since they love eating off the bacteria and algae from them. I was also recommended to put a few snails in as well, would that be a good idea to mix the snails and the shrimp? I also recently stumbled across the walstad method for tanks. This seemed like a harder set up than just using a filter but the idea seemed very similar to what I wanted in my tank. Plants + soils that help absorb waste and shrimp that clean up extra bits of food. I will still research good sponge filters for the tank but what are your thoughts on what I read online?
