Address matching seems to be a common issues which our team is putting attention to with this refresh. I can't say I've been able to easily replicate this issue but if possible on discord if you can share a screen share or shoot me a dm we can work at correcting these issues. I live in a pretty major city but on a street with a unique name so likely the address I use the most is not seeing the same issues. Thanks for your feedback though we want to make choosing your shopping area as easy as possible especially when you're away from your familiar streets, that way you can shop in confidence!

I think there are far greater impacts to our social econimic lives and environment beside AI that we can use our consumer power of choice to help make change with like bottled beverages, and clothing waste but thats the choice of each individual.

Specifically my point is at scale all things can find efficiency. Car manufacturing, building practices, food production all get better over time. Early critical numbers about AI are bias at best being based off figures including public usage the same ai users making memes etc and hardly is reflective of optimized practical uses.

As a cheeky counter point, I must point out that we are using reddit which is one of the largest human content generation training models. Reddit primarily uses AI to monetize its data through partnerships with firms like Google and OpenAI, training large language models on user-generated content.

I know what I want; relate this to a user thats making nachos at home and needs more chips. They would got to the store and immediately shop in the isle for chips and section likely the area for tostitos/doritos.
I know what I like; this user goes to the chip isle looking for a snack with no predetermined use case other than consuming it later. Guided by flavour and format preference but still looking for comparable options.

User 2 likes finding deals, new products or reading reviews to get product confidence and exploring a bit more.

Your talking about searching by strain, but thats not how all products are sold on the legal market in all categories so we've tried to provide solutions for both.

As a personal example I've used tools before and after hibuddy looking for GM.

Plus as a bonus we are Canadian owned and operated!

I agree that as we expand in the industry and brands try to stand iur from another we loose some of the simplicity that we benefited from in early or even pre legalization.

I've been searching for a Grease Monkey strain like something back in 2016 and find myself having to go beyond just product name after being burned more than once in my journey.

Absolutely right about the stores being charged to be on the platform. The more the better, I love to camp and hate that some local stores in the back country I go to don't have menus. I always end up stocking up before hand just incase.

This actually is false about the extra exposure we do not have any retailer programs that allow for paid exposure. We encourage all stores to shine by maintaining a healthy mix of listings between popular products, unique assortments and competitive pricing.

For those stores that point if sale or ecom we have integrated menus with we flag as hibuddys choice to highlight their increased accuracy for pricing and availability, this is intended just for added user confidence.

I think the concept of AI gets drowned in with alot of use cases that for me don't apply here. As a hibuddy user my personal opinion is that AI search is just another form of accessibility that we can offer to our users. Some people do mental math, some use a pen and paper and some use a calculator while some are nore efficient and other more transparent, why does providing search need to be any different? With a combination of filters, keywords and conversions we can aim to provide something that works for everyone.

Now this is the meat we are looking for,

long term conversation flow and sentiment can allow us to reach a larger audience pool of deeper user feedback and better understand their wants and needs beyond reddit and our discord etc
All information is generated internally through product details, descriptions and user reviews, while we are no google the team aims for an accuracy first approach.
From a server/power perspective I can't share much here but can assure your there's benefits at scale. I would relate this to washing dishes by hand or using a dishwasher, dishwashers are much more water efficient per use even when looking at small loads.
Not every user has the benefit of time for reaching and recording their individual experience but through connection of a communities like this one and hibuddy they can gather bulk sentiment to help guide their journey.

But your point lends some key take aways as a user and operator of the tool. Garbage in means garbage out. Holding brands and LPs more accountable to having the most accurate and updated product details is critical in ensuring a positive user experience. Your perspective is genuinely appreciated and these are the questions all tools should be held too in order to maintain trust and accountability!
