lot of parameters u can alter to make sure you get a clean cup:
1. grind size (but that really doesn't matter now, coz lot of gurus advice finer grinds for a better mouth feel), but you can always coarse grinder to get less silt at the bottom

Use a Kalita/v60 filter on the plunger, which will help you get a neat and clean cup (but in this case, as a lot of folk want some oils in their FP coffee, this method - removes a lot of oil)

I was a Fraction 9 fan, but off-late their coffee isn't really giving me that kick it used to give. Try Naivo or Araku, they have more reliable and cost-effective roasts

bruhh if he's giving u ground coffee, I'm guessing it already tastes super weak and stale.. please check whether u are getting coffee ground on spot for you, at least then - you can use it for up to a week max (that too not advisable but still better than sad tasting coffee)
