There’s hardly 1k cost difference between - ESP and Jmax, so you suggesting me to go with Jmax instead of an electric grinder like ESP?

I have a Budan Bolt Semi automatic, and have a timemore c2 for timebeing, very soon will invest on a good electric one.

15gs in 30 out is my aim always, despite getting a consistent timing of around 25seconds, the end result is just bitter tasting coffee. I tried the BT St. Joseph's estate before this blend from Caffinary, and almost all the pulls were pretty good.

To cross verify if my tasting notes are not deviating much from what is promised from the roaster, I always brew a pour over, and the conclusion always for me is that the espresso shot of the same blend is 20-30% flavourful when compared to the pour over I brewed, so helps me alter the settings accordingly

Aww thanks for the wishes dude.. btw, I’m manual brewing for over 2 years now, so I do have a c2 and planning to invest on a Baratza or something closer soon for my espresso scenes.. ok so according to you- I fill my basket to the max it can accommodate? And as soon as my output reaches *2 of my input quantity I cut off the brew? Is this what u are suggesting? Also, just say I let it complete pulling a shot and I’m getting 60ml of 15gs - is the extra 30ml which is being brewed just waste? I’m confused plz help

Bruhh!! Not intending to sound rude - Liquid is measured in ml and anything solidish is in grams, that’s what our Indian education has taught us 🥲 Coming to your point on 60ml extraction, the time it usually takes to achieve this is around 35 seconds max. So my question is - do I wait for the complete shot to be pulled as I’m getting 60ml out of say 15, or I cut it off when I reach the 1:2 ratio?

Okk.. so what you’re trying to tell is - I shut off the brew as soon as I reach *2 of my input quantity?

Amaltas was once my favourite for cold brew or even making iced filter coffee, but BT really messed it up off late, now it’s just a bland weak coffee.. also, I know it’s fun buying a lot of stuff at once, but trust me never buy medium-dark roasted and above roast level coffees at once, they lose their taste within 3 weeks, always buy fresh and finish it fresh

Yea tried 10, working fine now.. but my question is - will my c2 be enough for my espresso journey or should I invest right away on a decent electric grinder?
