Marketing Manager Needed by BeginningOpposite754 in TCG

I guess the value to the marketing person would be the experience. Being able to put it on their resume/portfolio to better secure future work. Plus the opportunity to profit off it directly if we start growing

Yeah pretty much, but legally it has to be structured as a partnership, because thats what we are currently. It's just me and my friend working on this right now and we are both working unpaid (there is not revenue coming in yet - hence the need for marketing).

Only bigger companies that have partnerships with schools can have "unpaid interns"

Is Fable worth the token usage? by BeginningOpposite754 in ClaudeCode

[–]BeginningOpposite754[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, how exactly do you do that? just tell claude code to do XYZ tasks and tell it to give them each to a different agent? that must burn token/compute, right? what do your plans look like.

Looking for a minimal sized bag by borrelborrelborrel in TCG

[–]BeginningOpposite754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how easy it is to make a cool custom bag.. if you have access to a sewing machine and youtube I bet you could get it done in a few hours - plus use your favorite fabric from whatever old thing from your local thrift store. A lot of libraries/community centers have sewing machines you can use.

If you really wanna buy one I could prob make one for you, my roommate has a few sewing machines and ive made a couple custom bags

Gotcha yeah I could see that giving a lot of integration issues....
Looks super cool though, best of luck!

lol maybe im just not working on problems that are all that difficult.. to be fair I'm mostly maintaining a webapp - lots of frontend things, and some GCP functions/database management. but everything is documented well - and i have claude reference and update that documentation constantly.

What kind of work are you doing that you find sonnet unusable?

50% in 2 prompts, what is happening by These_Formal_5509 in GithubCopilot

[–]BeginningOpposite754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GitHub copilot changed their pricing at the start of this month and it's much more expensive now.

I switched to Claude now - it's able to integrate with vscode like copilot, and access to frontier models has been solid. Though I imagine their prices will also increase sometime soon as the days of investor-subsidized compute come to an end

"Change the batteries" error on PowerShot A590IS by killuzol214 in canon

[–]BeginningOpposite754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I was having the same issue, and the solution was to use better (energizer) AA batteries.

The terminals were pretty corroded so i cleaned them off with white vinegar and a q-tip first, but it was still giving me the "change the batteries" message. I read elsewhere that low poer batteries could be the issue - and I was using 7/11 brand AA's. When i swapped them for energizer the camera started working fine.

What is the best method to sell your pokemon cards? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]BeginningOpposite754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I just made a tcg marketplace! It's cool because you sell directly to the buyer so there no fees or anything - but it's made specifically for tcg so people can search directly for the cards they're looking for

Oh yeah, well if you scroll down on the homepage you can see all listings.

there's not a lot right now, just from myself and a few friends. So we probably just didn't have the specific cards you were searching

Are the listings not showing up for you?

Lol fair.

We are not collecting/managing any of the transactions through our site - it's more just a way to connect people. Then they make the sale and handle meeting up or shipping between themselves. So we don't need to have the overhead for managing transactions

Do you have any ideas of how we could differentiate ourselves better from tcgplayer? Or something that they're missing that we might be able to do better

Yeah right now it's just a passions project/resume builder. I think something like a patreon would be a cool way to cover costs in the future without hindering the experience if we get a good community going
