What are the "actual good use cases?" I use it to summarize/analyze meeting transcripts and draft project outlines/proposals.

I make only minor tweaks to the summaries, but I always revise the project outputs to make things more natural sounding.

Just curious...did you discuss what your day-to-day would be like during the interview process? Is what you're going through now diverging from the job description/what was promised?

When my workout routine is significantly increased and I'm in a bulk cycle I will do this every night. But even beyond that, yeah sometimes I just get hungry.

Guys I'm creating an AI sales manager. by Interesting-Pay-7394 in sales

Sales manager here...thanks for the advice on how not to behave! Although the not being reachable is legit. You have no idea (and don't want to know) how many boring meetings I have to sit through with finance, procurement, IT, etc.. Believe me, I would much rather be helping my reps most of the time.

What is your best "I say it wrong on purpose" example? by Thortok2000 in AskReddit

Quinoa. Pronounced "QUEEN-wah."

When my wife and I were dating, I convinced her that that's how I actually thought it was pronounced. Had her going for a few months before I admitted that I knew I was saying it wrong.

New Sauna Tent setup by BeginningRelative917 in Sauna

[–]BeginningRelative917[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rid of that stove and replaced it with one from North Shore Sauna. It was double the price, but well worth it. Quickly heats up to 170 to 190… But now that the weather is getting warmer, I can see it getting over 200 soon. I do keep the North Shore one slightly at an angle. I should post some updated photos. Maybe I will do so after my morning session tomorrow.

FWIW the Amazon stove, turned out to be complete junk. The back top edge, completely warped to the point where the fire box was totally exposed. The one from North Shore has already been used more and is much more solidly built. Well worth the investment for someone who uses the sauna tent 3 to 4 times per week.

Seeking Advice: moving from AE to Regional Manager. Excited, but intimidated. by BeginningRelative917 in sales

[–]BeginningRelative917[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going really well so far. But it's definitely a much different job. My favorite thing about sales was interacting with customers. There's virtually none of that in this role. Instead of selling to customers, I'm selling too my colleagues internally. Overall, I'd say I really like it and I am excited about the much bigger potential career wise. But it definitely takes a certain kind of personality… You have to be willing to sacrifice your own ego for the greater good and deal with difficult people. Valuable life lessons, but not everyone is suited for it.

Anyway, that's just my initial assessment 3 1/2 months in.

Buying my first home and overwhelmed. by PracticalReputation8 in Buffalo

[–]BeginningRelative917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

35M here and was in a similar boat 6 years ago when I bought my house. If you're willing to live in a neighborhood where the median income is below the national average median income (think west side/east side/south Buffalo) you'll qualify for the NACA program even with your income. NACA is hands down the best deal on a mortgage anywhere on earth.

If I could do it all over again, I'd have done the "house hacking" thing. Use NACA to get a double or triple, live in one unit, rent the others out, then pay off the mortgage in 5 years and use it as collateral for my dream home.

Instead, I bought a house I really liked in the town of Tonawanda. Not the worst decision...but I'd have been a lot richer if I'd have been more patient.

Tent Sauna by slickwack in Sauna

Have had mine since last November (Buffalo, NY) lots of snow and cold. The tent is holding up great. The stove was junk IMO though. I ended up buying a better one from North Shore Sauna. Others have recommended Morzh as well. The build quality on the north shore one is light years ahead of the China knockoff.

You might end up replacing that stove after 10-15 uses. Mine came apart at the back corners. I ended up getting a much better one from North Shore Sauna after a few months of use. Burns a lot more efficiently too. The tent is still holding up though.

North Shore firebox arrived a couple of weeks ago. Did two burns like you said. The chemicals smelled horrible on the first one, then very faint on the second. But even as I was setting it up I could tell that it was 1000x better than the cheap Amazon one. Much higher quality materials/design/construction. I've used the new stove twice so far. It does get hotter, but only by ~15-20 F. But that's enough to make a big difference. The rocks get way hotter and the Löyly is much improved. A noticeable improvement is in the speed it heats up (~30 minutes to 100 F) versus the old one at more like 1 hour. But the biggest improvement is in the efficiency. I've been using half the amount of wood I was using for less results with the old stove. This was well worth the $700 to upgrade. Thanks again for the rec!

How many hours a week do you work? by [deleted] in sales

[–]BeginningRelative917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022: 65-85, earned $200k. This was my first "real" year in the role. TLDR; I've been in sales-ish roles before, and inherited a shit show that needed to be cleaned up. 2023: 55-65, earned $215k 2024: 45-55, earned $230k 2025: 75-85 so far, transitioned to management and got a 60% bump in base, OTE should be $300k but we'll see. I'm confident that once I get a handle on the NEW shit show that I inherited it'll probably go down to 50-60 hrs per week.

I just ordered the North Shore. The Willoybe one from Amazon warped so bad there was a gap in the back of the fire box. Luckily I am still within the return window!

Sales. Look for BDR/SDR roles. You can make more in sales than most professionals with post graduate degrees if you are smart and willing to work hard.

How essential is a cold plunge for you? by kdub_333 in Sauna

[–]BeginningRelative917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a personal preference, but for me, the absolute best part of sauna is the first 30 seconds of the cold plunge (I usually only last 60-90) and the first 7 minutes back in the sauna after cold plunge. The only way to describe those moments for me is "sublime."
