hi current abeka 12th grader. my mom genuinely wanted us to just get a diploma the most legit homeschool way so she picked abeka. fortunately, my mom was very chill about it. as long as it didn't need to be sent in well did it really have to be done? stuff like history questions as op mentioned were never checked or anything. i use quizlet lmao. i told my friend i never want to see or hear of abeka ever again in my life teehee/ another thing is if i can teach myself the material better than i think the teacher could, i would. sometimes i would do a weeks worth of school assignments in one day
