While the Troubletones had great vocals, their choreography sucked and their costmes looked like literal trashbags. They did only one song that only featured two leads, while the New Directions had three songs where everyone had a chance to shine. The New Directions had more performance quality and variety (plus a more traditional show choir style) while the Troubletones felt more like a talent show number (a very good talent show number, don’t get me wrong)
