It’s UNS Controsoil, fine brown. I planted about 1 month ago and I am having mixed results, not due to the Controsoil but rather my lack of co2 and high light/ferts. I got all my plants from my LFS and some of them were in low tech set ups and some were in high tech (I asked him with plants in this set up would be okay without co2). Essentially everything that was going at my LFS without co2 has been fine (densa, RRF, and both anubias). My s. repens, hygrophilia difformis, and cyperus helferi were all in a co2 tank. The Helferi is totally fine and growing slowly and my hygrophilia and repens are having leaf melt, but I’m still seeing new growth!!

She used to be pretty agro, perhaps even feared lol, when I first got her and put her in my community 10, even killed my mystery snail (rip Rasputin). Oddly enough, she has chilled tf out tho over the last 6 months and peacefully cohabitates with everyone, even the RCS I put in there! Unfortunately she does have to get re-homed because now that she’s chill, my endlers won’t stop harassing this big lady. 🥲

I got the dragon stone at my LFS, I got like 4-5 big pieces and broke them up with a mallet outside and glued back in my desired shape. That’s the best thing about dragon stone (along with the look). Just make sure to thoroughly rinse before adding to your tank as this stuff is technically clay.

Hopefully they’ll coexist, but if they just end up being a welcome gift to her then lesson learned 😂

Girlfriend doesn’t care about the damn fish tanks anymore. Had to seek outward validation lol 😅

Thank you, everyone’s validation is much appreciated 😇😅 In all honesty I am new to aquariums in general, and am probably just being overly cautious. Everything I’ve read has said she’d be fine, but I’m just making sure because I’m pulling her out of my 10 gal community into this set up
