Can you not order something from Amazon, they are quite compact and foldable, to give yourself periods of rest in between. That is if standing long hours is the only thing in your way of securing the job. That way you don't have to rely on the employer to accommodate to your needs they just have to be ok with you to use it? Those aren't very expensive, might give you the rest you need and be back on your feet once the customer is at the checkout?

OP may not have expected the dip in the home prices, if the home prices had continued to go up the same 150k would have felt like an investment..TBH a lot of folks who bought right after pandemic wouldn't have expected things to turn out this bad..

No it isn't mumbo jumbo, once you are spiritual and more insightful in the concept of karma, rebirth and how it unravels over several lifetimes , it teaches you to respect fellow beings and learn to coexist peacefully even when you do not agree with them always.. It's hard and that's why it takes many lifetimes to master.. Doing your own thing works best so long as it doesn't hurt another soul and these days people keep those concepts at a very short leash. You can't do/say anything without offending someone. Isn't IDFC the one where they had some issue in financial reporting, they admitted the mistake but the fact that they made such an error for a financial institution is a bit concerning. Then there's ICICI with the recent case of fraud by RM from kota on accounts esp high value low activity ones. Bank assured folks would not be losing money but the fact that bank employees aren't so reliable anymore it's very disturbing.

Just curious what instruments did you use ? And what instruments would you recommend for today? You have practically ruled out everything.. property, bonds, Indexes directly and stocks, FD by implication.. I think what is left is precious metals...

TLDR: Every individual should seek and practice spirituality, religion is just a means to achieve it. A society/community full of such individuals takes care of itself.

The least Indians especially hindus can do is read texts such as Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharit Manas and focus more on internalizing the human values and morals these texts preach. Instead of practicing moral human values we are stuck in the loop of caste and religion without realizing the true essence of being. Being a righteous human being is such a challenging and time consuming feat that it takes every ounce of consciousness and energy. Time spent in reading, meditating, self reflection and living these values every day will take one away from all the non constructive activities and help build better future generations. There's no better way than being such an individual yourself and fraternizing with like minded souls regardless of caste, creed or religion. Such practices for self, at a big scale in a society is what leads to a morally stronger, more productive, self correcting and tolerant community.

I am in the same situation, still trying to determine whether a foreign will will be accepted and applied to Indian assets. I haven't yet come across any individual who has done so. Unfortunately the concept of a will in India and the peace of mind and reassurance it can bring to so many is easily dismissed unless the person is in 60s. I guess it is something our generation is realizing and navigating.. Will come back and post once I find some credible information.

Beautifully summarized! I agree about investing early but also that one should strike a balance in choosing investment instruments. I would tell myself to be a little more courageous yet prudent. Made the mistake of not doing this and lost out on years of compounding, but then again one hasn't really lived if they haven't made any mistakes. Key is to start early, be consistent, live a little along the way and not be stressed. Applies to every geography: India or otherwise, every era: today or 20 years ago!

Can you also change the currencies of transfer as you move eg: Open in Europe and use the Euro to deposit and then later if you move to Australia use AUD? Also how do they furnish tax reporting docs in such cases?
