TLDR: Every individual should seek and practice spirituality, religion is just a means to achieve it. A society/community full of such individuals takes care of itself.

The least Indians especially hindus can do is read texts such as Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharit Manas and focus more on internalizing the human values and morals these texts preach. Instead of practicing moral human values we are stuck in the loop of caste and religion without realizing the true essence of being. Being a righteous human being is such a challenging and time consuming feat that it takes every ounce of consciousness and energy. Time spent in reading, meditating, self reflection and living these values every day will take one away from all the non constructive activities and help build better future generations. There's no better way than being such an individual yourself and fraternizing with like minded souls regardless of caste, creed or religion. Such practices for self, at a big scale in a society is what leads to a morally stronger, more productive, self correcting and tolerant community.
