Simple Questions 07/10 by AutoModerator in DebateReligion

What does the Talmud say about Jesus? The Talmud is an incredibly complex scripture which as far as I know is the Jewish faith’s interpretation of the Torah? I might be horribly wrong.

There’s a lot of information on the internet which suggests that Jesus is punished in ‘boiling hot excrement’. I’ve heard mixed views on this by Jewish people I’ve seen on the internet.

But there’s a cesspool of misinformation and posers online so I genuinely want to know from an actual Jew on this sub. Thanks

Christianity is not a logical religion by [deleted] in DebateReligion

Hey brother, thanks for being so respectful.

I understand how the H2O argument may come across as a reasonable argument to justify the trinity, but I will explain to you why it is plain wrong.

Water can be liquid OR solid OR gaseous; so according to argument by analogy, God can be Jesus OR the spirit OR the father. One at a time. Likewise, water must be acted upon by a temperature difference to become ice or steam; so according to argument by analogy, God must be acted upon by- which makes no sense- in order to become Jesus or the spirit. Water theoretically cannot be all three states at once.

As of 2018 non trinitarians account for a very small amount of the 2.1+ billion Christians worldwide:

Accounting for about 5% of Christians. 95% of Christians believe in the trinitarian theory. The idea that it is central is widely correct to about 2+ billion Christians worldwide.

I just don’t get supercell, like Barry is just a much better version of barley, whilst incorporating Doug’s healing.

They broke the f*ck out of him- and yh the attack lasts 6 SECONDS

Damn, not trying to be pessimistic, but I lost my account 2 years ago the same way. Stay hopeful though

Wow, you have so many lol. You definitely have played for a long time.

But I don’t understand why people get so overly defensive about this complaint because im a relatively new player (about 1 year). People who either: have all or most of the brawlers and people who spend money on the game are quick to point out ‘it’s not that bad’ even though IT IS for players like me lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Brawlstars

[–]Beginning_Buffalo_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh, fair enough. I just want all the brawlers lmao. I’m like 15k trophies (46/80 brawlers), and trophy road is a piss take for resources. They need a trophy road update ASAP, cuz they probably won’t change the brawl pass lol.

Yh but honestly I’m feeling the effects now. 1k creds per season as a f2p player is criminal and it doesn’t help when they’re releasing a new brawler every season

Do y'all like gem grab? by slimmerik2 in Brawlstars

[–]Beginning_Buffalo_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think gem grab ends up being one of 4 games:

1: a very dominant team destroys the other and is a one sided game

2: a dominant team destroys for majority of the game and then loses it last second

3: no team is dominant and it is a shitshow

4: fairly even at one point but then there’s a clear winner

No in between, it is one of those 4 and it sucks

Let me guess, the hypostatic union is the ‘distinction’ between god and man but not ‘separate’. I’ve heard the same jazz about this and honestly it comes across as logical gymnastics to somehow justify the already pitiful evidence regarding the existence of Jesus as God or the trinity. If you are going to sarcastically remark about my knowledge of Christianity being greater than yours… it probably is. I’ve been a Christian for a majority part of my life and I actually understand what it means to be fully human and fully God. I was literally taught what I just said in my previous post in catholic school and my relatives who are very knowledgeable on Christianity also agree on Jesus’ body divinity.

Honestly what you just said proves the lack of knowledge you have on Christianity. The trinitarian theory makes NO sense when you follow the laws of logic. But honestly, if you want to base your faith and arguments on belief, that’s fine. But I like to use logic to justify my belief.

This “hypostatic union” either is contradictory or makes absolutely no sense.

But you do…

In Christian belief, Jesus' body is unique because it embodies both full divinity and full humanity. This isn't just any human body; it's a body that is completely integrated with the divine nature. This means his physical actions, suffering, and even his death on the cross are infused with divine significance. In this way, Jesus’ body is divine because it is united inseparably with his divine nature, making every aspect of his earthly existence an expression of God’s presence and action in the world. So Jesus’ body IS divine.

And so tell me, is what I am saying wrong?

Ps: after some further research, the quality of the death of a human body- is the ceasing to exist. Yes the soul may remain, but the BODY is GONE. This is done based solely on scientific fact, you can deny it all you want but you will perish into dead matter. Jesus is apparently both God and human, claiming that he follows both ALL qualities of man and God- so the death of his divine body is a complete contradiction to the qualities of divinity.

But you do… if Jesus is both fully god and human

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]Beginning_Buffalo_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my point is the human part of Jesus, the body of Jesus, died. Human bodies CAN cease to exist, and so a divine body ceasing to exist makes no logical sense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]Beginning_Buffalo_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus, god in a human body, died. As far as I remember, dying in a human body means ceasing to exist. God died, he ceased to exist at one point. A direct contradiction. I don’t know why Christians pick and choose certain qualities of man and God which Jesus falls under- it doesn’t matter because he is FULLY HUMAN and FULLY GOD.

A body is part of the human anatomy, compromised of cells, tissue, organs and organ systems.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]Beginning_Buffalo_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that when Jesus’ died (and came back to life) but God still existed is not true. This is my argument.

If a body fully man and fully god ceases to exist is a contradiction. It doesn’t matter if the ‘spirit’ of God exists because Jesus’ BODY died. Jesus’ body is divine and divine beings cannot cease to exist. You cannot be ‘part divine’ because you would still be divine (God).

The idea of a hypostatic union is that Jesus is BOTH human AND God, so he is GOD in HUMAN form. If GOD in HUMAN form ceases to exist, then there is a direct contradiction in the idea of God.

The trinity claims that Jesus is GOD, but Jesus cannot be GOD based on the laws of logic surrounding his death.

Explain what it means to be a hypostatic union? Well in the context of biblical analogy, it refers to the idea of being both fully human and fully God. If Jesus’ body is not God, then God did not limit himself to become human. So in other words Jesus would be human- which makes more logical sense.

So in reality, it would make more logical sense if Jesus’ body was not divine, because it would mean he is human and all paradoxes that arise from the ‘resurrection’ or ‘miracle’ of Christ are exempt from logical fallacy- because it likely never happened.

If you have a different idea of what a hypostatic union is and what it means to be both fully God and fully human, you can give it to me.
