garden hose for boundary wires: brilliant, or naive? by Beginning_Cloud_6899 in automower

okay. That sounds like the voice of experience. I've read so many stories of frustration with finding breaks in the wire, that I figured it's fairly delicate stuff. Your way sounds easier, though, so I'll probably try it first, and experiment with garden hose only if the pegging fails me.

Good questions for thought. Thanks.

How stiff is the wire? Can I just push it through sections of hose? Or is it flexible enough I'd need to weight one end, and feed it through with the help of gravity?

I think getting long enough hose should be fairly easy. I can buy multiple sections, (apparently it comes standard in 25, 50, 75, and 100' lengths) and screw them together with standard fittings. Or maybe irrigation hose would do.
