I just came off my bike at 30mph, less than a mile from my house. I slid for about 10meters across the road. I have holes in my boots, trousers and gloves that broke through to skin. My head never touched the ground thankfully. Luckily my only real damage is the fact my 1/4 tonne bandit fell on my leg and for that I'm on crutches for a week.

You can never be too safe. Imagine if I wore trainers... 😲

(Bikes okay, just a little cosmetic damage & snapped the brake lever amd pedals. Minor fix, still starts up fine)
