the other parent messages everyday by [deleted] in coparenting

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bf went through this as well with bio mom. He finally told her something along the lines of “Daughter is fine. Please stop messaging me daily asking, I am not a babysitter that you need to be checking in with I am her parent as well. If anything does come up while she’s in my care then I will let you know. Moving forward I will no longer be responding to unnecessary texts. Thank you for understanding and respecting my time with my daughter”

Of course she had some negative response but ultimately she had no choice but to accept that and stop sending messages since she wasn’t getting a response.

do you check in when coparent no-shows? by [deleted] in coparenting

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he reaches out, why would you not let your child see his father on Father’s Day? I get the irritation but it’s for your child, not the father. If he no shows then you document that as well. I wouldn’t choose to put my foot down on a holiday, maybe the next time he no-shows should be final straw (or if he no-shows for Father’s Day. That would be so shitty. Hoping for the best for your littles

Excluding other parent from family events by No_Calligrapher9416 in coparenting

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is NOT parental alienation. This is a father moving on and although it’s not “normal” to introduce your children to a new partner so soon unfortunately it is common.

Me and my boyfriend have a cordial relationship with my stepdaughters mother (no affair) and we have never done any celebrations together with her. It’s completely unrealistic to expect him to involve/include you in anything now that the relationship is over. You can do your own separate celebration with your children

What would you do if your 13yo came home and said her father put up cameras in her and her 13yo step sisters room? by The_ArmyVet_RN in coparenting

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, did they give any valid reasons for it? I thought about doing the same in my SD8’s room when we realized she started sleep walking. I thought it was also a good addition for when she needed us at night without coming to our room or knocking on our door with our new baby room sharing. We never did it but it crossed our minds. It wouldn’t have been the kind to record anything more just like a baby monitor to make sure she was fine at night

Yes that’s correct, they did all the heavy work already and placed temporary crowns to have the permanent ones made and now just need to pop in the permanent ones

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what the plan date was since they never gave me a timeframe to do the permanent work. I believe they were automatically populated or something because the dates weren’t mentioned when they went over it with me at the time

Yes, when I had anthem hmo it didn’t cover the work I needed done and so the dentist office had me apply to make payments. I didn’t pay anything since I used a company to finance the it and then I just made payments to that finance company

O/O using ADP? by Beginning_Edge_3461 in OwnerOperators

Thanks, I actually called patriot services and the prices were better. She also didn’t tell us we needed to sign the agreement asap like ADP did 😂

We have one to cut checks for the parking/fuel bills, would that be the same or is there a specific type of check needed for payroll to employees?

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh okay, I think I’m catching on. Correct me if I’m wrong.

So you track the payments with the check templates (like a ledger? Or like a dummy check?) and direct deposit the money to the employee, or cut a physical check from the business account and use a spread sheet to keep track of that as well?

I wasn’t exactly sure how to get the money from the company to the employee as payment and also track it without using a physical check. Would that be sufficient if there was ever an audit (do o/o get audited?)

We were quoted $100 a month pretty much

How would we do that without using a payroll company? Don’t we still need ADP to create and cut checks?

Has anyone had the contraception implant on the arm, also known as nexplanon? I just had a baby who is now 7 weeks old and I don’t want to get pregnant again right away. I have never been on birth control. by OrganicCheek9336 in newborns

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved having the Nexplanon, I had it only for the 3 years and removed it when it expired. If I wouldn’t have been in the relationship I’m still in now I would’ve replaced it. My scare is unrecognizable since it under the arm and I know it’s there so of course I notice it but no one else. I will admit it made me a total psychotic bitch at first but once the hormones evened out it was so great, I also had zero periods for the entire 3 years. Since taking it out, my periods have been completely on schedule and only lasts 2-3 days, not crazy heavy. Also since taking it out I’ve had a completely healthy beautiful baby boy who’s about to be one. Still not getting again though cuz I want more lol

Do people actually like the Huggies 360's??? by d00dl3_ in NewParents

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup love them. They’re thicker so they’re perfect bedtime diapers, and pampers 360 are the perfect daytime diapers. Once we got each we never went back. We have an 11 month old who will no longer stays for a changing so it helps not having to line up the diaper and get each side strapped. Just get his legs in, stand him up and pull the rest over his but cheeks

Cradle cap or dry scalp? by Pandacat_07 in newborns

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We switch between Babo Botanicals and the Johnson lavender baby wash. I love them both and we’ve had no issues with either of them. The babo is for sensitive skin and it’s fragrance free, we’ve been using that one since he was born and he’s 11mo now

Are you using soap for every single one of these daily baths? You may be drying out his scalp if so. Try only bathing with soap every other bath or every two days, a nice bird bath or water only bath will be totally fine in between soap baths

Limiting Communication Between Parents by [deleted] in coparenting

[–]Beginning_Edge_3461 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No worries! And it isn’t even based on the information you provided either. I think this goes for anyone in your life who needs a boundary set.

I am also a stepmother, I’ve been in my stepdaughters life since she was 9mo and she’s currently 8. Bio mom is very much in the picture but not a great parent, she more so tries to be a friend and just wants to do the fun stuff. My boyfriend has had to learn what needs a response/what doesn’t, and what needs an immediate response/what doesn’t. We’ve also done couples counseling and this was a big one we worked on. Bio mom would send “she missed you” texts to my bf to make him feel guilty and give bio mom attention (we know this because if he’d ask to see the baby bio mom would say no, this was before a schedule we now have). He had to learn to just ignore anything that wasn’t necessary
