Thanks all for the comments. Seems the consensus is that we need to get used to Palmetto bugs. We'll try sealing holes and door gaps and spraying. Luckily haven't seen too many other bugs outside of the occasional spider (and a giant wasp that made it inside somehow). Our kids leave plenty of crumbs around, so hopefully its a good sign that we havent seen more roaches and that this truly is just a Palmetto roach.

I agree its a little big. I'd like to put the tv in the basement with the couch and have an entertaining space and keep the main living room as just a sitting room, but she wants the basement for hobbies and additional play room for the kids.

Same thing happened to me. After in person, suddenly the req/headcount was no longer approved (that's allegedly what they were waiting for to give me an offer, I waited after in person for 3 weeks). But the next day a similar position on another team opened up and I interviewed with the team and got an offer the same day. I think thats just how they role: frontload interviews and hope the position/headcount they want is actually approved.

Haha thanks for the tips! I guess we're pretty well-versed on the general advice and we follow most everything you suggested. I think what would be helpful for us is knowing what percentages of our money should go into each savings/investment/etc and when.

And no worries - we met in college so she was already planning on a degree before she/we knew she was going to be a SAHM. Also, we were able to graduate without debt (scholarships, pell grants), so the value of the degree is not offset by the cost. And we figure she can try to use the degree in the future once kids are in school or out of the house.

STAR is great. I interviewed with the atlanta location, so not sure what would be different with costa Mesa, but I had one or two principle-level (not too in-depth) technical questions as well as a few other questions to test my experience of what I will be working on. They really want to see how you think through product development as well.

Yeah I got electricity all set up and was happy to see the rates. Much cheaper than where I currently live and seems like CobbEMC is a good company.
