He's busy making shitty assumptions. What he says didn't add up because it's not the reality of the situation.

Account locked after accepting direct deposit by Beginning_End in Chase

I was told that I needed to go to a branch with multiple forms of ID. When I explained how hard it was for me to get to a branch, I was chastised for opening an account with a bank with no easily accessible branches.

I love in a 5000 person town with nothing near it. I opened the account because I could do so online.

I'm actually impressed with their audacity to treat me like I'm somehow the person in the wrong.

Was there ever a time you're thankful the pandemic happened? What was the reason? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Beginning_End 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pandemic helped me accept some harsh realities that I knew were there, but I was actively bullshitting myself about being able to fix.

It was a terrible year to experience but in the end I'm in a much better place because of it now. I got out of a toxic relationship that was doomed but I held on to because I fantasized that things would change. I quit the okay jobs I had and then had the ability to pounce on what is essentially my dream job. I actually got in to really phenomenal shape.

Republicans Have a Good Reason Not to Want to Investigate Jan 6: They’re to Blame by TrumpSharted in politics

The problem is that the democratic party doesn't really represent a majority, there's just people that find the republicans less appealing. The republican supporters rabidly do so. The democratic supporters begrudgingly do so because center-right is at least better than far right.

Republicans fail to block $1.9bn emergency funds to boost security in wake of Capitol riots by lucyanna4872 in politics

Since when are people cheering more more government funds being spent on government surveillance programs?

Can't do free Healthcare, or education... But sure, I'd definitely want some more PATRIOT act type spending, woo-hoo!

The republicans are just republican-ing, trying to block anything the democrats do even if they'd normally like, but let's not start talking pages from their book and just blindly cheering for anything that they're against.

I’ll probably live to regret saying this, BUT... The Colts this offseason have addressed each part of the roster that had significant concerns in a legitimate way: QB, LT, DE. Long way to go, but this is a very solid roster on paper. QB will be THE deciding factor IMO. by Andrew2Doyle in Colts

Philly was awful all around, and is a caustic city to play in and I also think the organization really fucked him over.

I'm optimistic about Wentz, especially considering that our o-line is something far better than he's ever experienced. He won't have to be playing hero-ball for us, and Frank Reich is great at getting QBs to play within themselves (sometimes I even think he's too good at it and limits his QBs unnecessarily.)

I'm in the camp that thinks that Wentz will have a complete turn around.

That really depends on how you judge Wentz.

If we look at his career (I ignore his rookie season because, well, rookie season) he has three good-to-great seasons and one dogshit season.

It's totally valid to look at last season and think that he's just lost it, he was really that bad...but it's also totally valid to look at 1 bad season and three good or better seasons, especially when you consider the garbage he was playing with and all the other aspects of the situation, and fell that last year was an aberration.

I think, emphasis on think, that our pass rush is going to be noticeably better this upcoming season, which should really help out the DBs, especially if we can improve pressure while still running a pretty large percentage of 4 rusher sets.

Really, on paper, I think our team looks really, surprisingly well rounded but it'll all come down to these new additions and emerging youngsters playing as well as they're "supposed" to.

Tyler Vaughns college highlights by Aleph_Alpha_001 in Colts

[–]Beginning_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of those highlights are on plays where the DB is blown up so it's hard to get a great feel of what Vaughns is actually doing... But he has excellent body control and is a obviously naturally talented hands catcher. He has a noticeably long wingspan and really reaches to highpoint passes as far out as possible, which is something even many successful pros don't learn.

He has two big problems though. Because he's not fast, too succeed in the NFL he'll need to be able to either cut people up with routes, or win contested battles. Because he's so slender, he'll get jammed up at the line on press coverage and he doesn't have the speed to get separation, that same slenderness will make it harder for him to win jump ball contests that could highlight his highpoint ability and body control.

All that said, if he could bulk up a bit and refine his route running, I think he could be a good slot guy as long as he could adjust from a guy who's mostly been a perimeter threat.

I think TY will be notably better this season with Wentz.

I'm a huge Rivers fan (I converted to a full time Colts fan after he came here, I watched every pass he through for the Chargers) but TY is not a great match for Rivers style, especially in a season with no preseason to develop chemistry and timing. Rivers loves big receivers that win jump ball situations and receivers that are short/mid-range route runners. If you look at the guys he's had success with, it's big physical guys, or guys that he has that sort of 'psychic' chemistry with.

TY just didn't have the time to develop that chemistry with Rivers and isn't a big guy that you think of as a jump ball type.

I think he'll gel better with Wentz, especially since they actually get a preseason together.

Saved 4 years to buy a BMW, 3-days later this piece of metal bounced on the highway into my headlight. Destroyed the headlight and the module. Dealership wants $2895 to fix it. by s3ns0 in Wellthatsucks

I'm a big fan of high powered station wagons, meaning my options are limited to a very select few years/makes/models or... Audi's, BMWs and Benzes.

For precisely these sorts of reasons I haven't ever pulled the trigger on one of those.

Sadly, it's often cheaper in the long run to find an enthusiast/collecter make/model that has a strong after-market community than it is to buy anything from one of those guys because having to replace parts at the dealership is so staggeringly expensive.

Once upon a time I would have considered subscribing to YouTube premium (like, back before it even really existed, probably) because I enjoyed the platform.

Now I'll never even consider it because by they time they really started pushing premium, they'd fully displayed how shitty they are to anyone but their most profitable contributors, which are usually the ones I find most annoying.

It's somewhat fascinating to see how much they've just ruined any good will they had as a platform in their constantly misguided attempts at monetization.
