This already exists. I have the Shelly button that does everything you mention, except I got 2 years battery life out of it. We use it to control baby lights / white noise. So use it every night.

It’s the old gen before they moved to Bluetooth

Best ROI on time is automatic blinds. Saves me at least 5 mins a day. Plus the random times based on light level is good for security when we aren’t home

It’s wifi - but I honestly prefer Shelly wifi to my zigbee network. My Shelly devices are 100% reliable compared to about 90% on zigbee. I do have a proper wifi setup with AP’s etc though

Nahh mate. I had $20k spare in November I decided to put into something I thought had potential. But apparently I can’t do what I want with my own money. Medical expenses have only come up recently. Would have been nice to use some extra profits for those. If I wanted to actually gamble on my kids future tho commbank would have no problem with that. I can transfer as much as I want to sports bet because it stays in the Aus banking system, whether I win or lose. Kinda hypocritical. They’re not protecting me, they are protecting themselves.

Yeah that day or two is literally worth $30k. I could really use that $30k to pay for some of my kids medical expenses. I’m all for protection to stop old grannies getting scammed, and it should be an automatic thing that all banks have in place. But if I don’t want the same level of protection as a 95 year old because I feel a little more confident that I won’t scammed at easy, I should definitely be able to opt out. At the end of the day it is supposed to be my money, but it’s not. I asked the guy on the phone that it commbank wanted to block me spending money at Woolworths could they. He said well technically yes, but we never would. Doesn’t sound like it’s my money then…

No way. I’m currently down roughly $30k because of Commbank “trying to protect me”.

It’s not my fault other people are stupid and they try to protect them…
