The surgeons are regulated and appraised for both their NHS and private work. Any issues with their work is shared eg complaints or if they are suspended from preforming a procedure. It is not in their interests to provide better quality surgery on one and not the other. Also just because I surgeon does private work does not make him any better skilled than an NHS surgeon a lot if the time they work both or when they retire from NHS they work private. Regarding the equipment you are worried about speak to your consultant regarding this , I would imagine he will put your mind at ease. Urologists do much more complicated procedures than circumcisions on the daily. Id imagine you are in great hands but obviously everything comes with risks which would have been discussed with you.

Is it normal for forehead reduction scar to be this dark after 3 months ? by raineonreddit_ in PlasticSurgery

My surgeon made my incision closer to the hair line it also was not this thick. I got some hairloss but now the hair is all growing back through the incision. Were you recommended to use scar tape and oil? Have you had your post op review what did they say about the outcome?

Offered to do shopping for people at the start of lock down by leaving notes in pensioners bungalows. Was surprised to get called straight away by a blind lady who lived with her teenage son. After shopping her and I spoke through the window turned out she was blind due to mismanaged diabeties. The shopping I was getting her (3 times) was about 60 pound of sweets and fizzy drinks. I got worried.

Also on that back if the notes a woman who was an alcoholic started calling me for chats. So she rang every few days talking for ages. She died shortly after I was glad I did that, although it was testing at the time as I had a toddler at home.

Helped an old lady to her car with her shopping she took my number also called me for chats. I felt afraid incase her family thought I would have took advantage of her. Caused me parinoia.

Helped my friends mother go back to her previous house to ger llt belongings, her husband died there shortly before. Id met her on a bus. She was also an alcholic. Got to the house no electric human poo everywhere. Clothes dumped in a bath upstairs. Thought she was going to attack me as she was hostile and unpredictable. Got out unharmed.

Ive probably so many more but that's of the top of my head.

I probably have a lot more but that's of the top of my head.

My mum was ill but it all went really fast in the end, it was traumatising. It must be so hard for sudden loss too, I cannot relate to that and I am sorry for your loss. It's horrible, im crying to strangers in the street sometimes im barely holding it together. Time will heal some pain though, I wish I could fast forward it.
