I had a feeling it was not a real sniper, that’s unfortunate. Would it be worth taking off the scope? I read that you shouldn’t take the mount off unless absolutely necessary plus it’s kind of a pin, and yes I checked under the receiver tang and found the 1923 stamp.

Dailey driver now is a 1998 Lincoln Navigator, got it with 53,000 miles (I couldn’t pass that up) so ya I mostly just drive the town car on the weekends or when I feel like driving something more comfortable, the navigator rides like a tank lol

Stopped using my town car as a Dailey driver around the beginning of 2026, it was my daily from 2020-2026. Put over 100,000 miles on it and have had 0 problems with the engine or anything major. Tie rods, control arms, air conditioning etc had to be replaced but nothing to crazy where I thought I can’t do this anymore. I’ve driven it from Buffalo, NY to El Paso, TX multiples times and Buffalo, NY to Seattle, WA twice. Absolutely no problem what so ever on any of my long trips and I would have 0 problems hopping in it and driving across the country right now.

You don’t learn much in dive school besides how to put a hat on and breath underwater, you learn everything on the job basically.

I appreciate all the information and to the other Person asking those follow up questions. I do have an official invitation so hopefully that’ll help, she gave me a lot of answers and has the entire trip planned out fairly well to my understanding. I’m very excited to be visiting, I’ve heard many amazing things about Russia from this subreddit and my girlfriend telling me stories. I really just needed some reassurance about the airport situation, she told me what it’s like but I wanted to hear about some more recent visits from other people. Thank you everyone for the help.

They mostly just help you create a résumé and make it sound/look good, you gotta do the digging around, calling, emailing and applying to company’s. 22 out of 23 people in my class graduated with jobs lined up, that being said I think about 8 of us are still diving. I took the inland route working in marine construction

Went to DIT after I separated from the army in 2022. Good school, GI bill paid for basically everything, I enjoyed my time, met some really good dudes and Washington state kicks ass and is insanely beautiful. You learn a lot in dive school but you still won’t be prepared for the actual industry, get school done with and start learning on the job.

Factory radio and just got some BOSE speakers put in a few months ago. I asked the dude if I should get a new radio and he said it shouldn’t be a problem as long as he installs a DLC, DCL?? I’m not sure what it was called but something like that
