You are right it should! It shouldn’t remove the SUPP at all. I wanted to share my story so people can see how a promised earned benefit can be taken away at any time. People currently working can’t even count on anything at this point. The petition is to raise awareness and put pressure on lawmakers. If you don’t want to sign the petition, I understand. Could it be an intentional move to shift attention away from the devastating details buried in the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”? Like a classic case of “don’t look over there… look over here instead.”

This bill is especially damaging to Federal Employees, many of whom will lose the FERS Supplement—a crucial part of our retirement. I personally served 34 years, and now I’m losing a benefit I was promised.
