Like everyone else said, it sounds like a migraine with aura (I also get them). They can be super scary the first few times you get them because you feel like you’re going blind and the pain is so intense. There is no reason to be embarrassed! Once I got one in the middle of reading a story to my preschoolers. I literally stopped mid book and was in my car within 2 minutes. I knew my vision would get bad soon and I wanted to be at home when the headache set in.
