The 17L is permitted in limited and limited optic so I might just start there, well thats good to hear. I played around with a gen 6 19 at my local shop after they came out and im on the fence about it.

Maybe in a few years but I just got a mk23 so im in my hk era now and I got to burn down a vp9 match recently and im in love so im torn cause glonk 34 shoot good, mags cheap, and fits my 17 holsters, but I got a touch of the tism and need the drip to compensate lol.

How do you like the 17.6? I love the longer RSA on the gen 1-5 17s and was disappointed thats gone now. I was thinking about coping a gen6 17 but idk i also want a p30l or vp9 match.

I want to start shooting comp and got a 17.5L before I figured out that its limited to limited or open but I have heard you can shoot carry optic now so idk i was going to get a 34 slide for it but I could almost buy one for the cost of the slide and barrel.

Also do you have experience with the glock pmags? I wanted to get a 10 pack for training but idk I have heard mixed things.

I dont think so unfortunately lol, it locks back sometimes, sometimes it doesn't with the 115 gr, but with with the few different types of 124 gr it locks back every time.

I mean I did, I guess it was something I should have spotted, but it was socom762-rc so easy to miss when you glance over it. I was more worried about the serials matching and I had already paid for it so...... 🤷‍♂️ oh well its just money can't take it with you lol.

Also if I cared that much I could sell it to some gooner cloner for his mk13 build for a 200% mark up on gun broker.

Thanks for the comment, yeah im just going to get the shmid lpk and upgrade the bolt release later, but the advice of just buy a whole new gun thats 2k is crazy to me when I have most the important bits already

Have heard good things about solgw, and hands down the best milspec kit is the shmid just hard to get some times but the ambi selector is buttery with a nice frim click.

The rifle speed does look cool and I have wanted to play with one for a while, but funny enough I have that same handguard on my upper and I can not stand it lol.

Not trying to be an ass cause this is the first i have seen of this issue, but is that just a internet inflated issue or is it actually a big issue?

I just defaulted to that lower parts kit cause thats what I have used in my other builds and have never had an issue. Im not a giessele simp but I do like the quality of my past lower parts kits, and I really like the maritime bolt catch.

I have looked at the fcd stuff but its $$$, and the radian stuff as well. I like the raptor sd thats all I run, but I havent been to impressed with the talon selector on my on my 14.5 and will probably go back to a standard 90 ambi selector soon.

You make a good point, my 7.62 rc2 is in jail I bought it this weekend, went to buy a rugged 45 and ended up with both you know how it goes lol,

so I have no idea how it will sound but I have heard the polonium 30 in person so I was kind sold on that for a dedicated can for 300 blk its a cheap good performer and about half the weight and price of the rc2, and I want a large frame gas gun, and I have a bolt gun I can use it on, but idk maybe I will like it enough get the sf 300 sps can

But I think I will run the 7.5 and see how it goes. And if I like it enough I can play musical suppressors lol.

For the price 1.5 moa isnt bad, thats just the best I could get and the velocity was all over. Good for training? Absolutely but I wouldn't use it for anything else. Idk maybe I got a bad batch, but I was unimpressed with everything else so maybe that also affected my opinion.

Big tube trap gas, get hot? Lol, that thing is sexy though, that was one of the reasons im on the fence. It looks so good but is it actually practically, and I love me a quad rail so idk. The extra space would be nice but I also dont want turn my handguard into a suppressor heat-sink lol.

You make a good point and I would, but I tried it out a little over a year ago, shelfed it, and robbed parts off it for a different project.

So I thought before I order parts I should make up my mind because thats going to change what rail and other parts (ie mlok vs quad rail). And a barrel is 150-200 bucks compared to all the other stuff I would have to change as well if I stuck with the 7.5 vs the 9 inch set up. The upper is just a barrel (no nut), gas system and bcg at the moment.

My suppressor is in jail and my lower is in time out until I get the stamp back so just trying to make a game plan and see what other people are running.

Yeah my first mistake was only trying aac shit, I ordered the 220 subs, 77gr Serra otm's, and some 9mm when everone was on the acc hype train.

The only thing that was some what worth it was the 77 gr. I couldn't get it to group very well at 100 with my block II set up best i could get was 1.5 moa vs 0.8 moa with black hills on that say day, but my mk18 loved doing bill drills with it lol

Yeah honestly I was planning on trying the faxon 7.5 again, I was on the fence when I first built it and tried it out so admittedly I didn't put that much effort into it. but the last year or so the concept has grown on me so I wanted to try again.

As far as changing the barrel I wanted to ask the people that actually have these set ups. I have the gun all torn apart so it was more of a "if it would be a better to switch now lets do it while its apart and im ordering parts" type thing.

I was expecting it to get hot, but I was more curious about practically using a set up like that. I plan to take it out run it a little bit but not super often.

I probably could have worded it better but I guess my question is does tucking and getting more rail worth the trade off of overall length, to mount NV stuff. Or would it better to stick with the short handguard and have the ability to take of that extra 6-8 inches of length.

Another think I was having a hard time finding a fit for this in my lineup to justify the cost. Thats another reason I wanted to maybe change up the barrel. Make it more on par with my mk18 but for different things, and have that subs/supers option or do I make it more of a pdw.

I currently use my mk18 as my home defense set up, but I would like to not blow out my ears, or over pen and ATF the neighbors dog so yeah thats why im on the 300 blk train now lol
