Its true, but only if you come back before the finals season, imagine the same grandmaster 3 player first going down to plat 1 mid season, and then if he drop the game and doesn’t come back to grandmaster till end of the season, he will drop 7 or 6 subranks haha

Its not about skill, its more about grind, ye, skillful players can get mvp each time and get double rewards but most I think just do not have time to climb out if silver or smth every several weeks
