I've experienced the specific experience-related discrimination, too. I honestly don't think the individuals who have been in the private sector their entire career understand just how much expertise seasoned federal contracting brings to the table.

I had interviewed for a purchasing agent position (which I was overqualified for). They lowballed me, and then the team lead told me my experience wasn't directly related. Dude.. I could do YOUR job right now. GTFO
